Hideo Kojima, the well-known video game creator, has given us a peek into the advancements being made on Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. In a recent social media post, he shared that he’s been busy constructing the game, hinting at active development.
Death Stranding 2, titled “On the Beach,” is set to debut on PlayStation 5 in 2025. The game was unveiled with its subtitle and an extensive trailer about a year ago. Since then, updates have been scarce, but there’s been talk of a Photo Mode that might impact the storyline.
Around half a year back, Kojima shared an important announcement indicating that the filming, recording, and other production aspects for the game were all wrapped up, and we’ve now entered the “tuning phase.” During this phase, we work on fine-tuning gameplay mechanics, squashing bugs, and enhancing the overall quality of the game.
In his latest update, Kojima can be spotted working at his desk with a PlayStation 5 controller themed around Astro Bot. Although the picture doesn’t disclose much about the game’s details, it gives us confidence that work on the project is moving forward smoothly.
