I’ve noticed a surge in diss tracks lately, with Drake and Kendrick Lamar being frequent targets. But let me share my perspective as a devoted fan of one of these artists, who we can refer to as the “Rich Baby Daddy” here. His producer, Gordo, has recently opened up about how he’s dealing with this situation.

In conversation with PEOPLE, Gordo expressed, “He’s moved on from that phase.” The producer further explained that the artist, known for his Laugh Now Cry Later album, is just taking it easy after wrapping up a year-long tour called The It’s All A Blur Tour – A Big Deal.

For the unversed, Gordo’s comments come following the speculation made by Drake’s fans. 

In addition, according to the publication’s interview with the producer, Drake appears to be more content and cheerful.

Our friendship blossomed over the years, and eventually, we got the chance to collaborate on his 2022 album Honestly, Nevermind – an experience that still feels surreal to me.
