Chris Tucker is back in the news following the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein by the U.S. Department of Justice.
Recently released documents revealed the names of several famous entertainers and politicians. One name getting a lot of attention is actor Jackie Chan, widely recognized for his role in the “Rush Hour” film series.
A picture surfaced of him with Ghislaine Maxwell, a long-time friend of Jeffrey Epstein, which caused concern. Maxwell is currently in prison for 20 years due to her role in crimes involving young girls.

Following the release of the files, a video from a 2021 online interview with Eddie and Ryan Levert began circulating on Instagram, featuring Tucker discussing his relationship with Epstein.
When directly asked if he knew Jeffrey Epstein, Tucker responded hesitantly, confirming that he did. He then explained they had once flown Bill Clinton and others on a trip to Africa, describing it as a humanitarian mission.

Tucker explained that he encountered Epstein by chance during a trip. He said he didn’t know who owned the plane they were traveling on, but it was carrying a group of important people as part of a delegation. He stressed that he didn’t have a personal relationship with Epstein and wasn’t aware of his private life, simply stating that you can’t always know what someone does privately.
Tucker acknowledged he had flown on Jeffrey Epstein’s private plane – often called the “Lolita Express” – but firmly denied ever visiting Epstein’s island. He stated, “No, I don’t know where that plane is now. We were headed to Africa to do humanitarian work.”
The conversation resurfaced after comedian Katt Williams made a joke in January 2024 on the “Club Shay Shay” podcast, playfully calling Chris Tucker “‘Epstein Island’ Chris Tucker” instead of “Smokey.” Even though it was a joke, Williams’ comment highlights Tucker’s consistent claim that his connection to Epstein was simply coincidental, stemming from a charitable journey.
