It’s worth noting that in 2023, during an episode of Podcrushed podcast, Penn Badgley shared that he, in fact, requested the show’s creator, Sera Gamble, to minimize intimate scenes for his character.
In his own words, Penn Badgley revealed that he had made this decision even before joining the show, and it’s something he’s never discussed openly. The central concern for him was whether he wanted to return to a career where he would consistently play the romantic lead.
