As a fan who has followed the enchanting journey of Billy, Agatha, and their fellow witches in Westview, I must say that the finale left me both heartbroken and intrigued. The narrative was a rollercoaster ride of emotions, filled with twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat.
The final two episodes of Agatha All Along totally stick the landing for one of the best Marvel shows yet. We came to the end of the Witches Road and discovered quite a few truths about Agatha’s life, including her son Nicholas Scratch. Leading up to the Agatha All Along finale, we all wondered what would ultimately happen to Billy a.k.a. Teen a.k.a. Wiccan. Would he get what he ultimately wanted from the Witches’ Road and find his brother Tommy? Here’s what happens to him in the final episodes.
Billy Goes Full Wiccan to Save Agatha Before Convincing Her to Die
In a turn of events, Agatha strikes a bargain with Rio or Death, sacrificing Billy to save herself. She subsequently reunites with Billy and Jen, who are still grieving the death of Lilia, as they move towards their final trial. However, an odd twist unfolds when they find themselves back at their starting point, having left behind their shoes. With a shrug, Billy dons his footwear once more and they stumble upon an altered version of Agatha’s basement, complete with grow lights. Tensions rise as Jen comes to understand that Agatha is the very witch who enchanted her. In response, she performs a spell to free herself from the bindings, vanishing because she accomplished what she set out to achieve on this journey. We don’t catch sight of her again until the final episode, leaving only Billy and Agatha behind.
In the climactic confrontation, Agatha meets with Rio or Death, but at first, it seems like she’s losing due to her powerlessness. She’s forced off the Witches’ Path and finds herself back in her Westview yard, where Rio is ready to collect her soul. However, Billy isn’t present, leaving Agatha fearful. Billy eventually arrives in full Wiccan attire and uses his powers to rejuvenate Agatha’s own abilities, but she comes close to exhausting him during the process. With her powers back, Billy suggests going with Death, and Agatha reluctantly agrees, stating she is now a solitary witch. However, Billy utilizes his telepathic skills to reach out to Agatha, asking if this was how she lost her son. Moved by this, Agatha decides to die, and subsequently, she becomes a ghost.
Billy Does Find Tommy’s Soul But There’s No Reunion
In the climactic test, Agatha guides me in tapping my powers to pinpoint my brother Tommy’s spirit. However, I’m struggling to find a suitable vessel for it. Desperate, I implore the spirit into the body of a boy drowning, but the series ends before we witness the ultimate consequence of that choice. Regrettably, we don’t manage to reunite in the final episode.
Wiccan aka Billy Discovers That He Created the Witches’ Road
Following Agatha’s passing, Billy returns to Eastview and meets up with his folks once more. Yet, upon entering his room, he starts experiencing vivid recollections of the Witches’ Road. It dawns on Billy that he himself crafted the Road, discovering it was never a real location. Agatha’s ghost subsequently verifies this revelation to him. The climax uncovers that Agatha and her son Nicholas Scratch devised the melody of the Witches Road in the 1700s. When Nicholas was born, Death had warned that she would eventually claim him. In the interim, Agatha amassed power, aiming to safeguard/rescue her son by absorbing other witches. Regrettably, he fell ill and death still came for him, prompting Agatha to spend centuries deceiving witches into walking the Road in order to seize their powers.
It’s only reasonable that Billy feels responsible for the deaths of Lilia, Alice, and Sharon. However, Agatha gently points out that he was actually the one who managed to save Jen, who reappears beyond Westview and soars away towards an uncertain location.
Billy Teams Up With Ghost Agatha to Find Tommy Maximoff
In Billy’s effort to drive Agatha out, she shows reluctance to fully depart, as she’s scared to confront her son. Instead, Billy grants her the role of a ghostly guide, and together they journey to find Tommy. Such an ending hints at potential narratives for these characters, including Jen and further adventures, even if there’s no confirmed Season 2 for “Agatha All Along“. Potentially, we might encounter them in future Marvel Cinematic Universe projects or perhaps a series centered around the escalating journey of Wiccan and his twin brother Speed.
