I’m really excited about the TV schedule for the week of December 16th! There’s so much to watch – everything from classic holiday shows to the new seasons of my favorite series. It looks like streaming services and networks are really bringing their best stuff out right now, with new documentaries, fun animated comedies, and even some festive musical events. There’s definitely something for everyone, and it’s a great way to enjoy the last bit of the year.
‘My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman’ (2018)

David Letterman is back with a new interview, this time with a world-renowned figure. Continuing his signature style, he blends wit and genuine curiosity to explore what makes his guests tick, both personally and professionally. He ventures to an interesting location for an in-depth conversation that goes beyond typical celebrity interviews, offering viewers a unique look into the guest’s life and perspective through Letterman’s insightful questions.
‘The Secrets We Bury’ (2025)

Investigation Discovery’s new documentary explores a decades-old cold case that deeply affected a small town. Using updated forensic science, investigators are revisiting overlooked evidence. The film includes interviews with family members who have tirelessly sought answers about their missing loved ones. This disturbing story shows how a town’s secrets can hinder the pursuit of justice and shield a murderer.
‘Fallout’ (2024)

Lucy and The Ghoul are back, continuing their dangerous trek across a ruined America. This season delves deeper into the history of the vaults and introduces new groups battling for power in the wasteland. Maximus faces a crisis of conscience as he learns unsettling secrets about the Brotherhood of Steel’s goals. The show keeps its trademark mix of grim comedy and a unique, vintage-future style, while making the fight for survival even more intense.
‘What’s in the Box’ (2025)

Netflix is debuting a new game show where players make big decisions based on what’s inside mysterious boxes. The show pushes contestants to trust their gut and take risks for a chance to win money. Hosted by a guide who leads them through each round, a single wrong choice can eliminate players. It’s a reality series that blends luck and strategy, keeping audiences on the edge of their seats until the very end.
‘Murder in Monaco’ (2025)

This series delves into the murder of a prominent figure on the French Riviera, a crime that stunned the area’s wealthy residents. The story follows the complex police investigation, revealing a network of deceit and corruption within the aristocratic circles. The show contrasts the luxurious world of Monaco with the harsh realities of the crime and meticulously lays out the events leading up to the murder and the following court case.
‘Emily in Paris’ (2020)

Okay, so I’m really into this show, and the latest season throws Emily Cooper into even more chaos! She’s juggling a super demanding job at her marketing firm with a love life that’s just… complicated. It’s fun to watch her try and figure things out, especially as she’s forced to deal with new people and places that really push her boundaries. And honestly, beyond the drama, it’s still packed with gorgeous outfits and those iconic Parisian views we all love. It’s a total visual treat!
‘Craft in America’ (2007)

This award-winning series is back, showcasing the incredible talent and variety of American craftspeople. This episode looks at how traditional skills meet modern ideas in the world of contemporary crafts. We’ll meet skilled artists—like woodworkers and glassblowers—who have devoted their lives to their craft, and see how they both honor history and create innovative new works.
‘Kumail Nanjiani: Night Thoughts’ (2025)

Kumail Nanjiani’s new stand-up special offers a funny and relatable look at life and dealing with fame. Over the course of an hour, he shares personal stories and witty observations about everything from the quirks of Hollywood to getting older and facing health challenges. Known for his honest and engaging style, Nanjiani connects with audiences by blending humor with genuine moments, making the show particularly relevant to modern life.
‘Born to be Wild’ (2025)

Apple TV+’s new nature series is a beautiful and moving look at the world of orphaned animals. Narrated by a well-known conservationist, the show follows these animals as they’re rescued, cared for, and prepared to return to the wild. Each episode captures both the joy and the challenges of their journey, as they learn to survive, and celebrates the hard work of the people dedicated to their care.
‘Mo’ Waffles’ (2025)

‘Mo’ Waffles’ is a funny show about the wacky staff working the overnight shift at a busy city diner. The employees are a quirky bunch who juggle dealing with strange customers and their own personal lives. It uses fast-paced humor and physical comedy to show the challenges of working in the service industry, while also creating a sweet and relatable story about the found family they build within the diner.
