Looking for something to watch this weekend? Hulu has a great selection of new releases, critically acclaimed films, and all-time favorites. We’ve highlighted the newest additions first, then some of Hulu’s best original shows and recent hits, with a couple of classics thrown in for good measure. Everything listed is available to stream now or will be very soon, so you can start watching right away. Enjoy!

‘Under Fire’ (2025)

This action-comedy follows an FBI agent and a DEA agent who realize they’re both investigating the same drug cartel. Their operation goes sideways when they find themselves trapped by a sniper at a remote border location. Starring Dylan Sprouse and Mason Gooding, with Odette Annable and Emilio Rivera, the film—directed by Steven C. Miller and written by Adrian Speckert and Cory Todd Hughes—is built around the idea of two initially distrustful partners learning to work together while under attack. It’s available on Hulu now, perfect for a weekend watch, and primarily takes place in a single location during a tense standoff.

‘Osiris’ (2025)

When an elite Special Forces team is suddenly kidnapped during a mission, they find themselves trapped on an alien spaceship. Led by Anya, the remaining team members must battle terrifying creatures in a desperate attempt to escape. The film, directed and co-written by William Kaufman, stars Max Martini, LaMonica Garrett, Brianna Hildebrand, Michael Irby, and Linda Hamilton. Vertical Entertainment is distributing the film, with XYZ Films as producers. It’s a classic creature-feature designed to deliver late-night scares on Hulu.

‘55’ (2025)

This crime drama, set in the dangerous criminal world of Mumbai, centers around a teenage pickpocket called “55.” His life changes when he encounters the daughter of someone he robbed. Directed by Shyam Madiraju and starring Emraan Hashmi, the series was previously listed in industry reports before its release. The story features a gang identified by numbers and follows the young pickpocket as he comes of age amidst organized crime. It’s currently streaming on Hulu as part of their November releases.

‘Bride or Die’ (2025)

What starts as a fun bachelorette weekend at a remote house quickly turns terrifying when the group is targeted by an intruder. This thriller, written and directed by Nanea Miyata, explores how friendships change and loyalties are tested when faced with danger. Produced by Lunar Field, it’s a new, suspenseful addition to Hulu – perfect for a quick, gripping watch.

‘Sovereign’ (2025)

As a movie buff, I just heard about this new film on Hulu that’s really caught my attention. It’s based on a true story involving the sovereign-citizen movement, and it follows a father and son, Jerry and Joe Kane, as their beliefs against the government get out of control and lead to a dangerous confrontation with the police. Christian Swegal wrote and directed it, and the cast is fantastic – Nick Offerman and young Jacob Tremblay are leading the way, with support from Dennis Quaid, Thomas Mann, Nancy Travis, and Martha Plimpton. It seems like a really thought-provoking story about how people can become radicalized, the power of beliefs, and how all of this can tear a family apart. It just dropped this weekend, so I’m planning to check it out!

‘Armand’ (2024)

This intense psychological drama takes place entirely during a late-night meeting at a school, where parents and teachers grapple with a difficult situation involving two young boys. It’s the first feature film from director Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel, and stars Renate Reinsve alongside Ellen Dorrit Petersen and Endre Hellestveit. The film debuted at the Cannes Film Festival and is known for its unsettling and deliberately unclear storytelling. It became available on Hulu earlier this week and is still streaming this weekend.

‘The Book of Clarence’ (2024)

This movie, set in Jerusalem, tells the story of Clarence, a clever con artist who pretends to be the messiah to get out of debt and improve his social standing. Jeymes Samuel wrote, directed, and composed the music for the film, which stars LaKeith Stanfield alongside Omar Sy, RJ Cyler, Anna Diop, Alfre Woodard, Benedict Cumberbatch, James McAvoy, and David Oyelowo. It’s a unique blend of biblical storytelling and a classic con-man plot, and is now available to stream as part of Hulu’s new movie releases.

‘Christmas Eve in Miller’s Point’ (2024)

This heartwarming drama, set on Long Island, centers around a large Italian American family coming together for what could be their final holiday celebration. The film beautifully captures the little traditions and underlying tensions within the family. Directed and co-written by Tyler Taormina and Eric Berger, it stars Matilda Fleming, Maria Dizzia, Ben Shenkman, Francesca Scorsese, Elsie Fisher, Lev Cameron, Sawyer Spielberg, Gregg Turkington, and Michael Cera. Carson Lund handled the cinematography, and Kevin Anton edited the film. You can now watch it streaming on Hulu.

‘Labyrinth’ (1986)

The beloved fantasy film Labyrinth tells the story of Sarah, a teenager who must journey through a magical maze to save her little brother from the Goblin King, played by David Bowie. Starring Jennifer Connelly, the movie was written by Terry Jones, based on a story by Jim Henson and Dennis Lee. It was a joint production between Henson Associates and Lucasfilm, with George Lucas as executive producer. Recently, Labyrinth returned to Hulu, offering a chance for fans to revisit this nostalgic favorite.

‘A Star Is Born’ (2018)

As a total movie buff, I was really captivated by “A Star is Born.” Bradley Cooper absolutely blew me away – he not only directed it, but also stars as a musician battling his demons. The story centers around his relationship with Ally, an incredibly talented singer-songwriter played by Lady Gaga, and how he helps launch her career while his own starts to fade. The script feels really strong, credited to Eric Roth, Cooper himself, and Will Fetters, and the visuals, thanks to Matthew Libatique’s cinematography and Jay Cassidy’s editing, are stunning. Plus, the music is fantastic – they recorded original songs specifically for those concert scenes! It was a huge hit in theaters, even winning an Oscar for Best Original Song, and now it’s finally available to stream on Hulu this November – I can’t wait to rewatch it!
