‘Girl Taken’ (2025)

This gripping drama centers on Rose, a teenager who flees home after a fight with her mother. She gets a ride from Perry, a family friend who seems nice at first, but quickly discovers he has dangerous intentions. Erica Durance gives a compelling performance as the mother desperately searching for her missing daughter. The film portrays the frightening experience of being abducted and the strength it takes to overcome such a trauma. It will be available to stream on December 11, 2025.

‘Kevin Costner Presents: The First Christmas’ (2025)

Kevin Costner, an Academy Award-winning actor, presents and narrates a special that retells the story of the nativity. This program seeks to portray the journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem as accurately as possible, using historical research. It blends dramatic scenes with commentary from religious scholars to shed light on the political and social climate of the time. The result is a thoughtful and informative look at the beginnings of the Christmas story. It will be available on December 10, 2025.

‘Griffin in Summer’ (2024)

Okay, so I just saw this really sweet, low-key indie film, and it completely charmed me. It centers around Griffin, a fourteen-year-old who’s spending his summer writing a play – a surprisingly mature one, dealing with marriage problems, no less! But things get interesting when a handyman named Brad starts working at his house, and Griffin finds himself developing a crush. It’s a beautifully observed story about first loves, creative passion, and all the awkwardness of growing up. I heard it was a hit at several film festivals, and honestly, it deserves the buzz. You’ll be able to check it out starting December 2, 2025 – mark your calendars!

‘Plane’ (2023)

In the action thriller, Gerard Butler plays Brodie Torrance, a pilot who bravely lands a damaged plane on a dangerous island after a lightning strike. But surviving the crash is just the first challenge – the passengers are quickly taken hostage by armed rebels. Torrance is forced to team up with Louis Gaspare, a fellow passenger accused of murder, to fight back. Expect non-stop thrills and intense action when the movie arrives on streaming services December 12, 2025.

‘Black Swan’ (2010)

Natalie Portman delivers a standout performance as Nina Sayers in this intense psychological thriller about the competitive world of ballet. When Nina lands the lead role in ‘Swan Lake,’ she starts to struggle with her sanity as the pressure to be perfect increases. Director Darren Aronofsky crafts a gripping and unsettling film that makes you question what’s real and what’s imagined. Mila Kunis plays a rival dancer who represents the freedom and passion Nina desperately seeks. This critically acclaimed film will be available to stream again on December 1, 2025.

‘Mr. Popper’s Penguins’ (2011)

Jim Carrey stars as a wealthy businessman whose orderly life is hilariously disrupted when he unexpectedly inherits six penguins. These mischievous birds turn his upscale New York apartment upside down and put a major business deal at risk. Through the chaos, he discovers the importance of family and what it means to be a father. This funny and heartwarming comedy is perfect for the whole family and became available to stream on December 1, 2025.

‘Home Alone’ (1990)

When his family unexpectedly flies to Paris for Christmas, eight-year-old Kevin McCallister finds himself home alone. At first, he enjoys the freedom, but soon he has to protect his house from two silly burglars, nicknamed the Wet Bandits. The movie made Macaulay Culkin famous, as he brilliantly played the clever kid who creates elaborate traps to outsmart the thieves. This beloved holiday film continues to be a seasonal favorite, blending humor and heartwarming moments. You can stream it starting December 1, 2025.

‘The Santa Clause’ (1994)

In “The Santa Clause,” Tim Allen plays Scott Calvin, who unexpectedly causes Santa to fall off his roof on Christmas Eve. Because of a clause in Santa’s contract, Scott is then magically obligated to become the new Santa. Over the next year, he transforms into Santa while trying to hide his secret from his ex-wife and reconnect with his son.
