Looking for something new to watch on Disney+ this weekend? November brings a mix of brand-new releases, interesting documentaries, and classic favorites. Here are ten movies and shows – including Marvel adventures, holiday specials, and true stories – to help you find the perfect thing to watch without endless scrolling.
‘Madame Web’ (2024)

I just finished watching ‘Madame Web,’ and it was a wild ride! It follows Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in New York, who suddenly starts getting these crazy premonitions. They quickly drag her into a really dangerous situation involving three young women who are being hunted by someone in a mask. It’s directed by S. J. Clarkson and stars Dakota Johnson, along with some amazing actors like Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced, Celeste O’Connor, Tahar Rahim, Emma Roberts, and Adam Scott. While it’s part of the Spider-Man Universe, I ended up streaming it on Disney+ – it just became available there this week.
‘A Very Jonas Christmas Movie’ (2025)

The Jonas Brothers star as themselves in a funny holiday movie that follows their chaotic journey from London to New York to make it home for Christmas. Directed by Jessica Yu and written by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, the film includes appearances by celebrities like Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Randall Park, and features original songs woven into the story. It’s a new movie created for Disney+ and released in mid-November as part of the platform’s holiday programming, and is intended to be a major draw for subscribers during the season.
‘LEGO Marvel Avengers: Strange Tails’ (2025)

This fun animated special brings the Avengers to life as LEGO figures on a quick and funny adventure. Created with Marvel and the LEGO Group, it’s a lighthearted story perfect for all ages, with episodes that wrap up quickly. It’s coming to Disney+ in mid-November, and you can expect the usual team interactions, some new bad guys, and a fast-moving plot that kids will enjoy.
‘Love+War’ (2025)

National Geographic’s new documentary focuses on Lynsey Addario, a Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer who covers conflicts around the world. The film, directed by Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin, shows Addario at work in dangerous places like the Middle East and Ukraine, and also explores the impact her job has on her personal life and family. It’s a 95-minute film that first aired on National Geographic and is now available to stream on Disney+.
‘Wrath: A Seven Deadly Sins Story’ (2022)

This Disney+ thriller follows Chastity Jeffries, a successful lawyer, as she discovers her new boyfriend isn’t who he seems – he’s controlling and dangerous. Starring Michelle Williams and Antonio Cupo, and directed by Troy Scott, the movie is part of the same world as T.D. Jakes’ ‘Seven Deadly Sins’ series. It’s a short, intense story about personal boundaries and fighting to survive.
‘A Day Late and a Dollar Short’ (2014)

This heartwarming family drama, based on Terry McMillan’s novel, features Whoopi Goldberg as Viola Price, a clever and strong mother trying to reconnect with her husband and four grown children. Stephen Tolkin directed the film, which also stars Ving Rhames, Mekhi Phifer, Kimberly Elise, Anika Noni Rose, and Tichina Arnold. Now available on Disney+, the 90-minute movie explores themes of forgiveness and new beginnings.
‘Chris Hemsworth: A Road Trip to Remember’ (2025)

In this National Geographic documentary, actor Chris Hemsworth and his father, Craig, embark on a journey across Australia following Craig’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis. The film delves into themes of memory, family bonds, and overall wellbeing. Directed by Tom Barbor-Might and produced by Protozoa, Nutopia, and Wild State (with executive producers including Darren Aronofsky and Ari Handel), the documentary will air on National Geographic before becoming available to stream on Disney+ the following day. It also features insights from dementia expert Dr. Suraj Samtani.
‘Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol’ (2025)

The new ‘Prep & Landing’ special brings back elves Lanny and Wayne for a 22-minute adventure where things don’t go as planned, causing a series of funny problems at the North Pole. Created by Disney Television Animation, it will first air on Disney Channel and will then be available on Disney+. Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers-Skelton are executive producers, keeping the special lighthearted and festive. It’s a short, enjoyable watch perfect for families during the holidays.
‘Something Wicked This Way Comes’ (1983)

I just finished watching this film, and it’s a really atmospheric adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s novel. It centers around two young boys who get mixed up with a creepy traveling carnival and its mysterious leader, Mr. Dark. The cast is fantastic – Jason Robards, Jonathan Pryce, Diane Ladd, and Pam Grier all deliver strong performances. Plus, the music by James Horner and the visuals from Stephen H. Burum really create a haunting mood. It’s a relatively short film, which works in its favor, packing a lot of coming-of-age thrills and supernatural spookiness into a tight package. I noticed it was recently added to Disney+, and it definitely deserves a watch if you’re looking for something a little different.
‘Spidey and Iron Man: Avengers Team Up!’ (2025)

This 22-minute Disney Junior/Marvel special is made for younger kids and brings together kid-friendly versions of Spider-Man and the Avengers to fight Ultron and the Green Goblin. Created with Atomic Cartoons, it tells a complete story with easy-to-follow heroes and a straightforward plot. It first aired on Disney Junior and quickly became available to stream on Disney+. This special was released as part of Disney+’s November programming.
