‘The Lost Bus’ (2025)
Based on real events surrounding the 2018 Camp Fire, ‘The Lost Bus’ tells the story of a brave father and a committed teacher who race against time to protect 22 children from a rapidly approaching wildfire. Paul Greengrass directs and co-writes the screenplay with Brad Ingelsby, based on reporting by Lizzie Johnson. The film stars Matthew McConaughey and America Ferrera, and also features Yul Vazquez and Ashlie Atkinson in supporting roles.
This Apple Original Film is a dramatic story focusing on the fast-paced, critical choices made during evacuations. The unpredictable nature of wildfires – changing routes and fire behavior – means characters are constantly having to adapt. The film’s music is composed by James Newton Howard, with cinematography by Pål Ulvik Rokseth. It will begin streaming on Apple TV+ on October 3, 2025.
‘All of You’ (2025)
‘All of You’ is a sci-fi romance film made in Britain and America. It focuses on two close friends whose lives change when a new technology promises to find everyone’s ideal partner. The story follows their relationship over several years, exploring how decisions and when things happen affect them. More details are available here.
Supported by Apple Original Films and created in both the U.K. and the U.S., the film first shown at the Toronto International Film Festival and then released on Apple TV+. The movie focuses on the people involved and how new technology impacts their lives, using scenes from their college days and present-day moments to show how the idea of an algorithm changes the choices they make every day.
‘The Gorge’ (2025)
‘The Gorge’ is a thriller set in a huge canyon, where two highly skilled soldiers stationed on opposite sides develop a cautious bond as they fight off increasingly dangerous attacks. Scott Derrickson directs, based on a script by Zach Dean, and stars Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy. Sigourney Weaver also appears in a significant supporting role.
This Apple Original Film, created with Skydance, combines the tension of a siege thriller with the scares of science fiction horror. It features impressive action sequences set on challenging vertical landscapes-think climbing ropes, precarious ledges, and underground tunnels. The story emphasizes keeping watch, communicating over distances, and carefully managing supplies, forcing the characters to move from conflict to working together.
‘Fountain of Youth’ (2025)
‘Fountain of Youth’ tells the story of two long-separated siblings who reunite to chase after hints leading to the famous spring believed to give eternal life, blending their family’s past with an exciting international adventure. These discoveries trigger a chain of events – timed shutdowns and quick, secretive transfers. The story follows a team of experts – including researchers, forgers, and those working in the field – and their differing approaches drive the plot forward, moving it from one clue to the next.
‘Highest 2 Lowest’ (2025)
As a movie lover, I’m really intrigued by ‘Highest 2 Lowest’. It’s a fresh take on the kidnapping thriller, but with a really interesting twist – it’s set in the world of New York’s wealthy and famous. The story centers around someone important whose family is used as a pawn in a carefully thought-out ransom plot. And get this – Spike Lee is directing! Plus, Denzel Washington is leading a fantastic cast, including Jeffrey Wright, Ilfenesh Hadera, and John Douglas Thompson. It sounds like a really compelling watch!
A joint effort between Apple Original Films and A24, the film was created by Matthew Libatique (cinematography) and editor Barry Alexander Brown. The story unfolds through press conferences, boardroom meetings, and secret negotiations, serving as the main structure. It follows investigators and those in the know as they deal with issues of class, public scrutiny, and increasing time pressure.
‘Apple Music Live: Fuerza Regida’ (2025)
‘Apple Music Live: Fuerza Regida’ showcases the popular regional Mexican group performing live in Mexico City. The concert features both classic corridos tumbados songs and tracks from their ‘111XPANTIA’ album. This special concert was produced by Apple Music and is available on Apple TV+, filmed with multiple cameras and edited for easy streaming.
As a fan, I was really captivated by Jesús Ortiz Paz – he truly led the performance! The arrangements, especially with the requinto, tuba, and bajo sexto, were fantastic. This special was clearly made for streaming, and it did a great job of capturing those awesome call-and-response moments with the audience and the incredible instrumental parts. It really felt like a glimpse of what seeing them live on their 2025 tour would be like – a real snapshot of their whole live production. You can even get a feel for the staging they’re using!
‘Wolfs’ (2024)
‘Wolfs’ follows two competing professional cleaners who realize they’ve both been contracted for the same late-night job in New York City, quickly escalating a simple assignment into a complex and chaotic situation. The film is written and directed by Jon Watts, and stars George Clooney and Brad Pitt, with supporting performances by Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams, and Poorna Jagannathan.
The film, a collaboration between Apple Studios and producers Smokehouse Pictures and Plan B partners, is structured around three distinct parts-initial response, managing the situation, and the consequences-which build tension as challenges increase. Larkin Seiple’s visuals and Theodore Shapiro’s music create a sense of nighttime urgency, highlighting the pressure on the characters as they work to solve problems while being watched and facing growing danger.
‘The Family Plan’ (2023)
‘The Family Plan’ centers around Dan Morgan, a man with a hidden past – he used to be a government assassin but is now living a normal life as a dad in the suburbs. When his old life catches up to him, he’s forced to take his entire family on the run across the country. The film stars Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Monaghan, with Zoe Colletti and Van Crosby playing their children. Maggie Q, Saïd Taghmaoui, and Ciarán Hinds also feature in supporting roles. Simon Cellan Jones directed the movie, based on a screenplay written by David Coggeshall.
This film, a production from Apple Studios and Skydance, combines the excitement of a road trip with thrilling chases and clever disguises. The story follows the family as they travel, narrowly avoid danger, and learn more about each other, all while uncovering secrets from Dan’s past. As old rivals reappear, the action focuses on how the family’s understanding of Dan’s former life continues to develop.
‘Sharper’ (2023)
‘Sharper’ takes place in the glamorous, high-stakes world of New York City, filled with elaborate schemes. The story is told through different perspectives, gradually revealing how each character is involved in a complex web of lies surrounding wealth and influence. Benjamin Caron directed the film, working from a screenplay by Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka. The cast features Julianne Moore, Sebastian Stan, Justice Smith, Briana Middleton, and John Lithgow. Moore is also a producer, along with Apple Studios and A24.
The film’s arrangement cleverly changes how we see past moments as secrets are uncovered, taking us from bookstores to luxurious penthouses and gritty city locations. Charlotte Bruus Christensen handled the beautiful cinematography, while Clint Mansell composed the music. The story focuses on created personas, carefully timed disclosures, and the intricate planning of an elaborate deception. The production really emphasizes forged identities, controlled reveals, and the mechanics of the long con.
‘Greyhound’ (2020)
‘Greyhound’ is based on C. S. Forester’s novel ‘The Good Shepherd’ and tells the story of a U.S. Navy commander leading a convoy across the dangerous mid-Atlantic, known as the “Black Pit,” while being pursued by German U-boats. Tom Hanks stars as Commander Ernest Krause and also wrote the movie’s screenplay. Aaron Schneider directs, and the film features supporting performances by Stephen Graham and Elisabeth Shue.
This film, created by Playtone, Bron, and Greyhound Productions for Apple TV+, centers on the strategies used by wartime convoys-things like their weaving paths, the use of sonar to find submarines, secret communication methods, and the times when they could resupply. The story unfolds quickly, showing how decisions are made on the ships as the convoy tries to reach a point where they have air support. Realistic ship sets and visual effects create the feeling of being at sea.
