As a total movie and TV buff, I’m always checking what’s new on Netflix, and this week looks pretty good! They’re adding a bunch of stuff – everything from ongoing anime series and fun cartoons for the kids, to super competitive reality shows and mind-bending thrillers. Basically, if you’re looking for something to watch, Netflix is dropping new content pretty much every day this week, from Monday through Thursday. Here’s the rundown of everything scheduled to hit the platform between December 15th and 21st.
‘One Piece’ (1999)

New episodes of the popular anime series ‘One Piece’ will be available starting Monday, December 15th. The story follows Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirates as they continue their exciting journey across the ocean, searching for the greatest treasure. Known for its thrilling action and compelling characters, the show sees the crew battling formidable foes on the Grand Line. The latest episodes promise to add even more depth to this long-running pirate adventure.
‘The Creature Cases’ (2022)

I’m so excited for the new season of ‘The Creature Cases’! Sam, the snow leopard, and Kit, the kit fox, are back on December 15th to solve more animal mysteries. It’s a really fun show – they travel all over learning about different creatures and using some awesome gadgets. What I love is that it’s not just entertaining, but you actually learn a lot about nature too! It’s a perfect show for kids and the whole family to enjoy together, with plenty of action and laughs.
‘Culinary Class Wars’ (2024)

The new cooking competition, ‘Culinary Class Wars,’ kicks off on Tuesday, December 16th. Talented chefs from all sorts of culinary backgrounds will compete, showcasing their skills and battling it out to be the best. Each week, they’ll face tough challenges and tight deadlines, all while trying to wow the judges with their dishes. The show highlights both the intense pressure and the creative artistry of professional cooking.
‘Castle Rock’ (2018)

Starting December 16th, subscribers can stream ‘Castle Rock,’ a chilling horror series. Set in a fictional Maine town, the show draws characters and ideas from the worlds created by Stephen King. It’s a suspenseful story that explores the hidden darkness within a community, and even includes familiar places like the Shawshank Prison. ‘Castle Rock’ takes classic horror tropes and presents them in a new and unsettling way.
‘What’s in the Box?’ (2025)

The new game show ‘What’s in the Box?’ premieres on Wednesday, December 17th. Players try to guess what’s hidden inside different boxes and containers for a chance to win prizes. The show features funny moments and appearances by celebrities to keep things exciting and unpredictable. Viewers at home can join in the fun by trying to guess along with the contestants, who will face surprising reveals and the possibility of being eliminated.
‘The Manny’ (2023)

The new Mexican comedy series ‘The Manny’ will be available to stream starting Wednesday, December 17th. It follows a successful businesswoman whose life changes when she hires a male nanny, forcing her to rethink traditional ideas about gender. The show is a funny and heartwarming look at the challenges of modern parenting and how families change, with a charming connection between the main characters as they explore love and cultural norms.
‘Emily in Paris’ (2020)

As a total cinema devotee, I’m thrilled to hear that ‘Emily in Paris’ is back on December 18th! The show follows Emily Cooper, an American working in Paris, as she juggles a busy career and a complicated love life. Honestly, it’s a gorgeous show – the fashion is amazing and you really get a feel for Parisian culture. Expect plenty of drama at work and, of course, stunning views of the city in this new season. I can’t wait!
