‘Gintama’ (2006–2021)

Gintama is a long-running anime series based on Hideaki Sorachi’s manga. It’s set in a version of Edo-period Japan invaded by aliens called the “Amanto.” The show follows Gintoki Sakata, a freelance samurai, and his crew as they take on a variety of strange jobs, mixing comedy with more dramatic storylines. Produced by Sunrise and later Bandai Namco Pictures, the series has been directed by Shinji Takamatsu, Yōichi Fujita, and Chizuru Miyawaki, and features voice actors Tomokazu Sugita as Gintoki, Daisuke Sakaguchi as Shinpachi, and Rie Kugimiya as Kagura. It will be available on Hulu starting October 6, 2025.

The world of Gintama expands across many TV seasons and movies, finishing with the film ‘Gintama: The Very Final’. The music is created by Audio Highs, and various writers like Akatsuki Yamatoya and Deko Akao have contributed to the series over time. The show uniquely mixes futuristic science fiction with traditional samurai themes – think banned swords, alien technology, and a historical police force – all while centering on the growing relationships between the main characters: Gintoki, Shinpachi, and Kagura.

‘Branding in Seongsu’ (2024– )

This K-drama, set in Seoul’s trendy Seongsu district, centers on Kang Na-eon, a driven marketing leader, and her intern, So Eun-ho. Their lives are turned upside down when a chance kiss causes them to switch bodies. Starring Kim Ji-eun, Lomon (Park Solomon), Yang Hye-ji, and Kim Ho-young, and created by Choi Sun-mi and directed by Jung Heon-soo, the series will be available on Hulu starting October 7, 2025.

This series debuted in South Korea on U+ Mobile TV in early 2024. Each episode is short and sweet, blending romance, office drama, and suspense as the Seongsu Agency competes for a major cosmetics deal. Viewers can anticipate plenty of workplace scheming, fierce competition between brands, and a captivating story about the main characters dealing with mistaken identities, all while racing against the clock and facing off against rivals.

‘Customer Wars’ (2022– )

This reality show on A&E uses actual security and customer-recorded videos of arguments and tense situations in places like stores, airports, and fast-food drive-thrus. Actor Imari Williams provides the narration. It will be available to stream on Hulu starting October 9, 2025.

The show is produced by Jason Cilo and, in later seasons, directed by Marcie Hume. Each episode is around 30 minutes long and features stories from various businesses and service locations. Records show the show covers dozens of incidents that happen each year in the U.S. and other countries.

‘Crime Beat’ (2020– )

Based on the popular ‘Crime Beat’ podcast by Global News reporter Nancy Hixt, this new Canadian true-crime docuseries explores major cases across the country. Nancy Hixt and host Antony Robart provide in-depth reporting. It will be available to stream on Hulu starting October 9, 2025.

Each episode of the show features journalists from Global News, like Caryn Lieberman, and uses information from police and court documents, as well as firsthand reporting. The series began airing on Global Television in March 2020, following the popularity of the original podcast.

‘Pawn Stars’ (2009– )

The popular show *Pawn Stars* follows the Harrison family as they run their Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas. Rick Harrison takes the lead in buying and selling items brought in by people, with help from Corey Harrison and Austin Russell, also known as Chumlee. The show will be available to stream on Hulu starting October 9, 2025.

The show, created with Leftfield Pictures, combines quick evaluations with advice from experts to verify the authenticity of items like old documents and musical instruments. It also frequently includes brief historical backgrounds on where those items came from. Rick Harrison’s story and the show itself began development and were initially tested with pilot episodes before 2009.

‘Ancient Aliens’ (1997– )

This documentary series, created by Prometheus Entertainment and narrated by Robert Clotworthy, investigates the controversial idea that ancient astronauts influenced human history. Featuring insights from Giorgio A. Tsoukalos and commentators like David Childress, it will be available on Hulu starting October 9, 2025.

For many years, Kevin Burns created and oversaw the series, while Robert Clotworthy narrated hundreds of episodes. Later, Giorgio Tsoukalos joined as a producer. Each episode explores a specific theme, covering topics like ancient monuments, mythology, and reported unexplained events.

‘MonsterQuest Specials’ (2020)

Starting in August 2020, the History Channel brought back ‘MonsterQuest’ with special episodes. These episodes were newly edited versions of investigations originally aired from 2007 to 2010, focusing on mysterious creatures like lake monsters and Bigfoot. You can find these specials on Hulu starting October 9, 2025.

I absolutely loved the original ‘Unexplained’ series! It was created and produced by Doug Hajicek, with Stan Bernard doing the narration, and it really dug into mysteries surrounding strange creatures. They’d show actual field investigations, interviews with people who claimed to have seen things, and then experts would break it all down. These new specials are basically the best bits from those old episodes, grouped together by themes – it’s like a ‘greatest hits’ collection of unexplained phenomena!

‘WWE’s Greatest Moments’ (2025– )

A&E’s new series takes a fresh look at iconic WWE events. It combines classic footage with current commentary from Michael Cole and the wrestlers who lived them. You can stream it on Hulu starting October 9, 2025.

This show highlights key moments in WWE history, like important events, name changes, famous rivalries, and how wrestling has intersected with popular culture. Episodes are grouped by theme and time period, and each episode’s page includes a list of the wrestlers who appeared in it – from legendary performers to today’s biggest stars.

‘In Search of Aliens’ (2014)

I’m so excited for this new show! Hosted by Giorgio A. Tsoukalos, it’s a spin-off from the popular H2/History series and dives into some of the world’s biggest mysteries – things like Atlantis, the Nazca Lines, and even the Loch Ness Monster. What makes it really interesting is that it explores these mysteries through the idea that ancient aliens might have been involved. It’s coming to Hulu on October 9, 2025, and I can’t wait to watch!

This series combines interviews with researchers and local experts with explorations of artifacts, local legends, and the history of different locations. Throughout each episode, Tsoukalos investigates these topics firsthand. The show aired for one season in 2014, consisting of hour-long episodes.

‘9-1-1: Nashville’ (2025– )

This new show focuses on the brave first responders of Nashville – firefighters, police officers, and paramedics. Chris O’Donnell stars as Captain Don Hart, and the cast also includes Jessica Capshaw, LeAnn Rimes, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost, Juani Feliz, and Hunter McVey. It will begin streaming on Hulu on October 10, 2025.

Created by Ryan Murphy, Tim Minear, and Rashad Raisani, and with executive producers including Murphy, Minear, and Brad Falchuk, the show moves the established series to Nashville, Tennessee, featuring the same kind of large-scale disasters – like tornadoes and dramatic rescues. The show also introduces a new team of first responders, with detailed backgrounds explaining their family lives and roles on the job.

‘9-1-1’ (2018– )

Created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Tim Minear, this popular drama follows the brave first responders of Station 118 in Los Angeles and the LAPD. The series stars Angela Bassett, Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ryan Guzman, and many others. It will begin streaming on Hulu on October 10, 2025.

Season 9 is set to begin with major emergencies happening both in space and on Earth. Tim Minear, the show’s creator, is leading the effort to combine exciting disaster scenes with ongoing stories about the characters. Originally on Fox, the show now airs on ABC and is available to stream the day after it airs.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ (2005– )

Shonda Rhimes’ popular medical drama centers on the doctors and surgeons at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital in Seattle. The show has featured a talented cast, including Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson, and James Pickens Jr., among others, throughout its run. All seasons will be available to stream on Hulu starting October 10, 2025.

As a long-time fan, I’m really intrigued by what Season 22 of *Grey’s Anatomy* is promising. It looks like they’re dealing with the aftermath of a huge hospital explosion, and Meg Marinis is now leading the show as showrunner. It’s incredible to think this show is still going strong as ABC’s longest-running medical drama – they’re clearly keeping things fresh with new faces while still honoring the characters we’ve come to love.

‘Halloween Baking Championship’ (2015– )

As a huge baking competition fan, I’m really excited about the new season of this Food Network show! John Henson is back to host, and this time, the bakers will be tackling some spooky themes. The judging panel – Carla Hall, Zac Young, and Stephanie Boswell – will be looking for both delicious flavors and impressive skills. Mark your calendars – it’s hitting Hulu on October 11, 2025!

This show, which began in 2015 as a spin-off of ‘Holiday Baking Championship’, airs every year. Each season features seven episodes where bakers create spooky cakes, pastries, and other treats inspired by horror themes and Halloween traditions.

‘Ghost Adventures’ (2008– )

Zak Bagans and his team – Aaron Goodwin, Billy Tolley, and Jay Wasley – investigate reported hauntings around the globe. They spend the night locked down in these locations, collecting evidence and interviewing people. The new season arrives on Hulu on October 11, 2025.

The show originally premiered on Travel Channel in 2008. Later episodes moved to Discovery+ and Discovery Channel. It features in-depth investigations of famously haunted places, including the house from the movie ‘Poltergeist,’ and is produced by MY Tupelo Entertainment.

‘Vinland Saga’ (2019–2023)

Inspired by Makoto Yukimura’s manga, this historical drama charts Thorfinn’s evolution from a young man consumed by revenge to someone who finds himself through struggle, all set against the backdrop of Viking raids and political intrigue. The series, with Seasons 1 and 2 created by studios Wit and MAPPA respectively, was directed by Shūhei Yabuta, written by Hiroshi Seko and Kenta Ihara, and features music by Yutaka Yamada. Yūto Uemura voices Thorfinn, with Naoya Uchida as Askeladd and Akio Ōtsuka as Thorkell. It will be available on Hulu starting October 12, 2025.

The show consists of 48 episodes across two seasons. Season one covers the “War Arc” storyline, while season two focuses on the “Slave Arc.” It’s known for its historically accurate details, epic battle scenes, and compelling characters, all set against the backdrop of Norse exploration and the search for “Vinland.”
