December 2025 is ending the year with a fantastic lineup for Nintendo Switch! The holidays will bring both major, highly-awaited games and delightful sequels from independent developers. Whether you enjoy action-packed shooters or immersive role-playing games, there’s something for everyone this winter. It looks like a great way to finish another excellent year for gaming.
‘Marvel Cosmic Invasion’ (2025)

Marvel Games is launching a thrilling new game on December 1st. Players will team up as the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers to save the universe from a huge danger. The game emphasizes working together and features massive battles against alien fleets. Players will be able to control a wide variety of characters from across the cosmic Marvel Universe.
‘Blood: Refreshed Supply’ (2025)

On December 4th, Nightdive Studios and Atari are bringing back the beloved classic shooter with a modern update for the Switch. This remaster features improved controls and graphics, letting players once again step into the shoes of Caleb as he fights for revenge against the evil god Tchernobog. The game includes both the original story and all previously released expansion packs.
‘Metroid Prime 4: Beyond’ (2025)

As a huge Metroid fan, I’ve been waiting years for this! Nintendo and Retro Studios finally released the new game on December 4th, and it’s everything I hoped for. You play as Samus Aran on a brand new adventure where she digs into where the Phazon came from and tries to figure out who Sylux is. It’s played from Samus’s perspective, so it’s super immersive, and it’s all about exploring these amazing, atmospheric worlds while battling space pirates and really creepy alien creatures. And honestly, it looks incredible on the Switch – the environments are gorgeous, and the scanning ability is so much fun!
‘Octopath Traveler 0’ (2025)

On December 4th, Square Enix and Acquire will release a new role-playing game that serves as a prequel to their popular HD-2D series. The game delves into the backstory of the world of Orsterra, taking place well before the events of the first game. Players will control one of eight unique characters as they try to survive a world heading towards a devastating war. The beloved battle system, featuring breaks and boosts, is back with fresh mechanics to test even experienced players.
‘Dadish 4’ (2025)
On December 18th, indie developer Thomas K. Young is releasing the latest game in his delightful platforming series. Players once again control a caring radish dad on a quest to find his lost children, traveling through levels based on different foods. This new installment features fresh gameplay mechanics and vehicles, adding even more fun to the already challenging platforming. Fans will also be happy to find the game still includes its signature funny writing and interactions with the radish’s family.
