Here Are All the Movies Coming to HBO Max, Paramount+ & Disney+ This Week, Including ‘65’

As a total movie buff, I’m already checking out what January 2026 has in store! It looks like the first week will be packed with new releases and awards shows hitting the big streaming services. I’m especially excited to see what sci-fi adventures HBO Max and Disney+ are bringing, and Paramount+ has a new movie and they’re broadcasting a major awards ceremony live – perfect for kicking off the new year with some great entertainment.

’65’ (2023)

As a sci-fi fan, I’m really excited about this new thriller! It’s about a pilot who crashes on what he thinks is an alien planet, but it turns out to be Earth… sixty-five million years ago! The main character, Commander Mills, has to survive in a world full of dinosaurs while trying to find a way back to his own time. It’s packed with action and some intense survival moments, especially as he tries to protect the other person who made it through the crash. If you’re a subscriber to HBO Max, you can start streaming it this Thursday, January eighth – it looks like a great cinematic experience for anyone who loves this kind of story.

‘Golden Eve’ (2026)

As a total movie and TV fanatic, I always look forward to the Golden Globes! It’s a live show where they celebrate all the best stuff from the past year – the actors, directors, everyone. You can stream it this Sunday, January 8th, on Paramount+. Expect a lot of heartwarming acceptance speeches and a look back at all the critically acclaimed movies and shows we’ve loved. It’s basically a perfect way to recap everything great that happened in film and television recently.

‘The Tale of Silyan’ (2025)

Disney+ is adding a new film to its selection on January 9th. The movie tells a fantastical story with a focus on creating a rich and imaginative world. It follows brave characters on a journey built around friendship, all set in a unique and visually striking environment. This release is one of several new titles Disney+ is offering in January, showcasing both folklore and distinctive animation.

’83rd Golden Globe Awards’ (2026)

This Sunday, January 11th, Hollywood will celebrate the best in film and television with a live awards show, streaming on Paramount+. The ceremony highlights the talented performers and creators who have excelled over the past year, featuring moving acceptance speeches and a look at the biggest names in entertainment. It’s a great way to revisit the most critically acclaimed movies and TV shows of the past season.
