Here Are All the Movies Coming to HBO Max, Paramount+ and Apple TV+ This Week, Including ‘Predators’

Starting December 8th, streaming services are adding a variety of movies and shows, from big action hits to beloved classics. Highlights include a new sports movie with Brad Pitt and a documentary about a popular Afrobeats artist. There’s also good news for sci-fi and comedy fans, with some returning favorites becoming available again.

‘Predators’ (2010)

Okay, so I just heard about this new movie, and it sounds wild. Adrien Brody plays a mercenary, Royce, who gets kidnapped and basically dumped on this alien planet – it’s like a hunting ground for rich aliens. He’s forced to guide a team of other dangerous people – soldiers, convicts, the works – and they quickly figure out they are the prey. Apparently, these aren’t your average Predators, they’re even more lethal. It’s all about them using their skills to stay alive and find a way off this planet. I’m definitely checking it out when it hits Paramount+ on December 8th!

‘Music Box: Wizkid: Long Live Lagos’ (2025)

This documentary tells the story of Wizkid, the Nigerian music superstar, and his rise from humble beginnings in Lagos to worldwide recognition. Director Karam Gill follows Wizkid as he prepares for his groundbreaking sold-out concert at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The film offers a personal look at what his success means culturally and how he’s helped bring Afrobeats music to audiences around the globe. It also delves into his life and the lively music scene that influenced his career. It will debut exclusively on HBO Max on Thursday, December 11.

‘This Is Spinal Tap’ (1984)

Rob Reiner’s classic comedy This Is Spinal Tap playfully pokes fun at the over-the-top world of heavy metal. The film is a mockumentary that follows the fictional British band Spinal Tap on a hilariously unsuccessful American tour promoting their album, ‘Smell the Glove’. We see band members David St. Hubbins and Nigel Tufnel struggle with small audiences and a malfunctioning stage prop – a tiny Stonehenge. Known for its witty, improvised conversations and the famous amplifiers that go to eleven, this comedy favorite is coming to HBO Max on Friday, December 12th.

‘F1’ (2025)

Brad Pitt stars as Sonny Hayes, a retired Formula 1 driver who decides to return to racing. He joins a struggling team to guide a talented young racer, played by Damson Idris, and compete against the best in the sport. Director Joseph Kosinski filmed the racing scenes during real Grand Prix events for a truly authentic feel. The movie combines thrilling action with a compelling story about a veteran driver looking for a second chance. It will premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, December 12th.
