As a gamer with years of Superhero gaming under my belt and a deep appreciation for Henry Cavill‘s portrayal of Superman, I’m thrilled to see him potentially joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The prospect of Cavill taking on roles like Wolverine, Cyclops, Captain Britain, Hyperion, or even the Beyonder has me more hyped than a level 99 character on a boss battle.
As a devoted fan, I must admit that it seems Henry Cavill’s journey in Hollywood has taken an unexpected turn lately. With James Gunn stepping into the DC Universe, it appears Cavill has let go of his Superman mantle. Additionally, his departure from The Witcher, where many expected him to reprise his role, was surprising. Yet, amidst these twists and turns, I remain optimistic as he’s still attached to several high-profile projects.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m pumped to see Henry Cavill taking on roles in the upcoming Voltron film, the Highlander reboot, and leading the development of a Warhammer 40K adaptation. However, some rumors hint that the Warhammer project might be encountering some hurdles.
In his latest role, Cavill was seen in Deadpool & Wolverine, portraying one of the Wolverine variants. Notably, a source with some credibility, MyTimeToShineHello, suggests that Cavill is currently discussing potential opportunities for a more significant part within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It’s not entirely unexpected – around a year ago, whispers hinted at Cavill appearing in a brief role as a Wolverine variant. However, this does not exclude the chance of him securing a larger role in future installments.
In terms of suitable characters for new roles, it appears that Wolverine is a perfect match. Given the impending X-Men reboot, Cavill might step into the role as the primary Wolverine within the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the Secret Wars reboot has concluded.
It’s been speculated that Wolverine could temporarily be absent from the X-Men reboot, as Marvel seems to want to keep Hugh Jackman on hold for some future projects.
As a devoted Marvel fan, I’ve been eagerly envisioning Superman actor Henry Cavill stepping into the role of Cyclops in the MCU. His name has been frequently tossed around as a potential choice for the iconic X-Men leader, and given that Cyclops is rumored to be part of the upcoming X-Men reboot, I can’t help but feel that Cavill would be an ideal match for this character.
For years now, I’ve been connected to the role of Captain Britain, otherwise known as Brian Braddock. In fact, my enthusiasm for embodying this iconic British superhero has been burning brightly within me, long before I even got a taste of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with my cameo as a Wolverine variant.
Following his departure from the Superman role, it’s possible that Henry Cavill may find himself attracted to a character similar to Superman within the MCU – Hyperion. While there’s no concrete evidence yet of Hyperion joining the universe, fans frequently picture Cavill as Marvel’s equivalent to Superman.
A more plausible scenario might be Cavill portraying the Beyonder. Though it hasn’t been hinted at in rumors as of now, the upcoming Secret Wars narrative could potentially introduce this cosmic figure. It would surely thrill fans to witness Cavill embody such a powerful character.
No matter what specific role he ultimately takes, fans are excitedly looking forward to seeing Henry Cavill become a consistent member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
