Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal’s ‘In The Grey’ Gets Release Date

I’m so excited! Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal are finally starring together in an action movie called In The Grey, and it’s directed by the fantastic Guy Ritchie. It’s hitting cinemas now, and I can’t wait to see it!

Jeff Sneider reported on X that Black Bear Pictures has set an official release date of April 10, 2026, for the film, finally ending the uncertainty around its theatrical debut.

Black Bear Takes Over ‘In The Grey’ Release

The movie was initially going to be released by Lionsgate, but those plans fell through, and it didn’t have a distributor for several months.

Black Bear, which produced the film, will now distribute it directly.

This change happens as Black Bear increasingly focuses on releasing movies in theaters, alongside films like this week’s Shelter with Jason Statham and Tuner from May, which stars Dustin Hoffman.

Plot and Cast of ‘In The Grey’

I recently watched In The Grey, and it’s a really gripping story! It follows these two incredibly skilled guys who are experts at getting people out of tough situations. They’re assigned to figure out how to safely rescue a high-ranking negotiator, and the whole thing is just a tense, well-crafted plan unfolding before your eyes.

Gyllenhaal and Cavill lead the film, joined by Rosamund Pike and Eiza González.

Ritchie wrote and directed the project, and he worked with his regular partners Ivan Atkinson and John Friedberg, who produced it.

Guy Ritchie has worked with these actors before: he directed Henry Cavill in The Man From UNCLE, both Cavill and Eiza Gonzalez in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, and Jake Gyllenhaal in The Covenant.

Another Guy Ritchie Action Flick

This action thriller is packed with intensity and focuses on its characters. It includes elements of spying and a strong military presence, and has been likened to The Expendables.
