Last year, the HBO Max series Heated Rivalry became incredibly popular, captivating viewers with the passionate and secretive relationship between hockey players Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie). A particularly memorable scene – where Hollander invited Rozanov to a secluded Canadian cottage – quickly went viral, with the line “I’m coming to the cottage” becoming a huge meme. Now, according to Variety, fans of the show have the chance to stay in that very same cottage, which has been listed on Airbnb. Unfortunately, the handsome hockey players aren’t included with the rental!
I’m so excited! The amazing house from Heated Rivalry – it’s actually a really big, modern place – is going to be available to rent on Airbnb starting March 3rd. It’s called Barlochan Cottage and it’s in Torrence, Canada, right on the water with almost 400 feet of private shoreline. They say it’s near Montreal, but the show was actually filmed in Muskoka, Ontario. I’m already planning my trip so I can walk around and relive some of my favorite scenes – like when Ilya thought he saw a wolf, but it was just a bird! And, well, if you want to recreate any of the steamy moments, go for it! Just be aware there are a lot of windows… as Ilya and Shane quickly discovered!
As a huge fan of Heated Rivalry, I was thrilled to hear it’s been renewed for a second season! Filming is starting later this summer, and I’m already wondering if we’ll see Shane and Ilya back at that iconic cottage. Will it be a setting for more of their romance, or will it just stay a special place from their past? It’s going to be tricky for the show to film if fans keep booking stays there – you can actually rent it on Airbnb! And if you do go, you absolutely have to quote Shane Hollander to whoever you bring: “Will you come to my cottage this summer? It’s so private. No one will know.” It’s the perfect line!
