Hayden Christensen is looking forward to the future developments of Darth Vader. He recently disclosed some intriguing updates at Star Wars Celebration Japan. With the 20th anniversary of Episode III – Revenge of the Sith approaching, Christensen verified that Anakin will reappear in Ahsoka Season 2.
Christensen hinted during a panel that Anakin Skywalker, who last appeared as a Force ghost in Season 1 of Ahsoka, will return for season 2. His previous appearance was an emotional reunion with his former pupil Ahsoka Tano (portrayed by Rosario Dawson), occurring five years after Anakin’s redemption and death in Return of the Jedi.
Fans can’t wait to find out more about Anakin and Ahsoka in Season 2, and Christensen himself expresses his desire to reprise the role of Darth Vader in future tales, particularly those that take place post-“Revenge of the Sith”.
Christensen mentioned that there’s much more to delve into when it comes to Vader. He believes that starting from where we left off in Episode III, and considering all the internal struggles he faces as he becomes trapped in this new version of himself, there are numerous deep stories yet to be told.
In the six-episode series “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” Christensen donned his suit once more, squaring off against Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan. This story unfolds during a period bridging “Revenge of the Sith” and “A New Hope,” a timeframe that has been delved into in animated shows like “Star Wars Rebels” and comic books as well.
Christensen expressed his affection for the character, hoping they could explore it further. He added, “Perhaps we’ll have the chance to delve deeper into it.
Fans are undoubtedly excited at the prospect of delving deeper into Vader’s story, especially with Christensen reprising his role. Be it in the upcoming series “Ahsoka“, a new production, or another film, there could be more untold tales from the dark side to unveil.
