It appears The Kid LAROI has made it clear through a social media post that he and Tate McRae have ended their relationship. On Friday, July 25th, the Australian artist shared a screenshot of a discussion with one of his team members on X (previously known as Twitter), in which he addressed speculation about their romantic status and stated that although they are no longer together, they maintain a friendly connection.

The confirmation was given following a fan’s claim that LAROI’s group had been sharing tweets seemingly critical of McRae. These social media messages incorporated lyrics from his recent hit, “Hot Girl Problems,” and some perceived these lyrics as alluding to McRae.

In a public statement, the STAY artist made it clear that they are not involved in this situation and do not endorse such behavior at all. They are currently trying to have these instances taken down.

Apart from his denial, The Kid LAROI also posted a snapshot of a chat conversation where he inquired about the origin of something and requested its removal if it was internal.

In a subsequent communication, he mentioned, “Tate and I are keeping things cordial despite appearances being misleading / odd.” His team concurred, with one individual commenting, “We’ll take action concerning this matter.” Another person echoed, “That certainly wasn’t from us, that’s disappointing.” This indicates their dissociation from the controversial tweets.

In January 2024, whispers about The Kid LAROI and Tate McRae potentially dating started when McRae shared a mirror selfie wearing an item similar to something LAROI had previously sported. To add fuel to the fire, LAROI commented with a sunglasses emoji on her post, hinting at their possible relationship.

Over the next few months, they were spotted together on numerous occasions. This included dinner outings in Los Angeles and strolling hand-in-hand at the 2024 NHL All-Star Game in Toronto.
