During the time that Sean “Diddy” Combs awaits his trial, and is incarcerated, a former associate, known as Chopper, has decided to speak openly about various topics related to their past work together.

For those not familiar, Chopper used to be part of the now disgraced rapper’s musical group. On The Art of Dialogue podcast on January 7, 2025, Chopper – a renowned rapper himself – shared stories about his time working with the I’ll Be Missing You performer.

In old times, the artist revealed a deep-seated dislike between Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Tupac Shakur.

Or simply: The artist spoke about the intense rivalry between Sean Diddy Combs and Tupac Shakur in earlier days.

In my youth, when someone asked about the artists I was raised on, I would respond by saying, “I was more of a Tupac fan, not Biggie. For nearly a week, he didn’t even speak to me.” The ex-member of Da Band shared this anecdote.

During the podcast conversation, Kevin Barnes (also known by another name), continued to share that Sean Diddy Combs strongly disliked everything associated with Tupac. Regardless of how it may sound, Diddy held a deep-seated animosity towards Tupac; he despised him intensely.

As an enthusiastic fan, I’d like to share some insights about a talented rap artist named Chopper “Young City,” who hails from Louisiana. This remarkable individual was actually a member of Sean Diddy Combs’ hip-hop collective, known as Da Band.

The founder of Bad Boy Records also recorded the early days of the previously mentioned group for MTV’s popular show, Making the Band. But when the members of Da Band separated, which happened at the end of season three, Sean “Diddy” Combs later signed Chopper to his record label.
