Hasbro Marvel Legends: New Figures & Maximum Series Spider-Man Revealed!

Over the last several years, I’ve found myself becoming increasingly preoccupied with something – it’s more like an addiction, to be honest. I can’t get enough of Hasbro’s Marvel Legends action figures. While I have a particular fondness for characters designed in the comic book style, I must admit that I also appreciate the versions of Marvel heroes and villains from movies and TV shows. Unfortunately for space-conscious individuals like myself and the state of our wallets, Hasbro regularly releases numerous figures each year. The new year, 2025, is proving to be particularly exciting, with the latest Hasbro Pulse stream revealing a wave of “mini comics” figures, as well as the final straggler from the Spider-Man: No Way Home villains and a new, luxurious line.

First off, let’s dive into the short comic character figurines featured in this Plastic Action video, where they are artfully brought to life through stop-motion animation. Each figure comes equipped with a miniature comic book version of their original appearance – isn’t that adorable?

Rom the Spaceknight

The wave showcases a diverse group of characters, some fresh faces joining the line and familiar ones sporting revamped appearances. Among them, my personal favorite is Rom, the Spaceknight. This character might not ring a bell for those born post a specific era, as it initially started life as a toy before Marvel began publishing comics featuring it. This scenario also occurred with Micronauts. Lately, Marvel has obtained the rights to produce omnibus and Epic Collection editions of both series, implying that new toys based on these titles will soon be available!

Adam Warlock

Following that, we have Adam Warlock who truly shines in Jim Starlin’s self-titled series and the epic Infinity Gauntlet saga. His classic appearance is quite cool, and he even carries the Infinity Gauntlet along with him.

Daken, aka Dark Wolverine

As a die-hard cinema enthusiast, I must confess that the numerous iterations of Wolverine characters we’ve seen over the years have become almost commonplace. Last year alone, it seemed like there were ten new ones! However, this isn’t just another Wolverine; this is the enigmatic Dark Wolverine, or Daken, Logan’s troubled son who once sided with the villainous Norman Osborn in his Dark Avengers team. Now, that’s intriguing! His chiseled physique is adorned with tattoos, he wields mechanical claws that resemble those of the X-Men’s favorite mutant, and he sports a stylish haircut that adds an edge to his already imposing presence.

Ultimate Miles Morales

It’s consistently thrilling to encounter a character like Miles Morales, and with the release of Spider-Verse and Sony’s Spider-Man video games, we’ve had several in recent years. However, this particular figure is an Ultimate version of Miles, and he looks fantastic. I can hardly wait for this one!

Ultimate Iron Man

Without doing the math, it’s safe to say that if necessary, Wolverine and Iron Man would both rank second in terms of annual figure releases, with Spider-Man taking the top spot as the undisputed number one. Iron Man usually edges ahead due to the diversity of his suit designs, and for this collection, we’re getting the Ultimate Iron Man from the Ultimate universe, which is a unique suit design, making it quite exciting.

Banshee

You know that character I adore? It’s Banshee, sporting his famous green and yellow suit, which originally appeared in Giant-Size X-Men #1 from 1975. The issue is, it’s essentially the same blue and yellow ’90s suit we received from Marvel Legends not too long ago, with the same pair of head sculpts. Unless you’re dead set on assembling that exact 1975 team, this one might be a pass for me.

All of this wave is a Hasbro Pulse exclusive and will go up for pre-order February 6 at 1pm ET.

X-Factor Jean Grey

After that, there will be an exclusive product available only at Target stores within the U.S. As part of our continuation of retro-styled X-Men action figures, we’re introducing a figure of Jean Grey dressed in her iconic green and yellow X-Factor uniform. This follows closely on the heels of the recent pre-order opportunity for the blue and yellow X-Factor Cyclops figure.

Spider-Man: No Way Home Electro

As a devoted Marvel movie enthusiast, I’ve been thrilled to see the gradual introduction of the villains from “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” and now, we have the grand finale – the remarkably enhanced Electro, skillfully portrayed by Jamie Foxx. The team at Hasbro never fails to impress with their lifelike actor sculpts, and this is no exception. The Electro figure brims with electrifying effects, all while maintaining a sleek and impressive appearance.

Maximum Spider-Man

To begin, Hasbro has launched a fresh series for Marvel Legends titled “Maximum,” which aims to provide additional accessories, enhanced articulation, a greater selection of hand and head variants (possibly leading to a higher price point). This move appears to be Hasbro’s response to rival high-end figure manufacturers such as Bandai’s SH Figuarts and MAFEX. Kickstarting this new line is none other than Spider-Man, sporting the iconic ’90s McFarlane-inspired appearance.

The action figures of Jean, Electro, and Maximum Spidey haven’t been given specific release dates as of now, but it is anticipated that they will arrive sometime this coming spring.
