Has Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s Daughter Shiloh Legally Changed Her Name? Find Out Here

As a long-time follower of the Jolie-Pitt family, I must say that this latest development has piqued my interest more than ever. Shiloh, the daughter who shares the same name as the judge handling her name change request, is stepping into adulthood and making decisions about her identity – a journey that resonates deeply with me, having navigated my own identity evolution over the years.

18-year-old Shiloh, the child of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has legally altered her surname. Known previously as Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, she is now simply going by Shiloh Jolie. The change was filed on the first day of her eighteenth birthday in May.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I am proud to share that among my six extraordinary family members, adopted by the illustrious couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, is none other than Shiloh. My siblings include Maddox, aged 22; Zahara, 19; Pax, also 20; Knox, 15; and Vivienne, who shares my age of 15.

In July, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt’s request to change her name was not granted immediately because there was a hold-up in the background investigation process. Her attorney, Peter Levine, clarified that an administrative mistake had caused the court hearing to be moved to August 19th. A thorough background check is compulsory for any name change, and the court needed to sort out this matter before they could proceed with the request.

In my communication with PEOPLE, I shared that the court couldn’t finish the necessary background check before today’s hearing, leading us to reschedule it for August 19. As part of the name-change process, all individuals involved need a court-conducted background check. Regrettably, an administrative oversight caused Shiloh’s hearing to be postponed and moved to a later date.

After the postponement in July, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt continued with the judicial proceedings in California by placing a public notice about her request to alter her first name to Shiloh Jolie in the Los Angeles Times.

In May, Judge Shiloh received a petition from Brad Pitt, who subsequently learned and felt upset about a change in circumstances. A reliable source stated that Pitt, known for his role in “Wolves,” struggled to deal with the painful memory of losing his children and openly expressed his emotions regarding this matter.

“According to our source, he’s conscious and saddened because Shiloh decided to no longer use his last name,” said the informant. “Recollections of his lost kids are difficult for Brad. He deeply cares for his children and yearns for their presence.”
