The lineup for HBO’s forthcoming Harry Potter television show expands further, with nine additional actors now part of the production team. HBO has positioned this series as an accurate representation of the much-loved original book series penned by J.K. Rowling.
Weasleys, Malfoys, and Dursleys
Actress Katherine Parkinson, known for her role in “The IT Crowd,” has been selected to portray Molly Weasley. On the opposite side of the storyline, Lox Pratt will take on the character of Draco, while Johnny Flynn will assume the role of Lucius Malfoy.
In the new adaptation, Bel Powley and Daniel Rigby have been cast as Petunia and Vernon Dursley, respectively – that is, Petunia being Harry’s aunt and Vernon his unpleasant uncle.
More Students at Hogwarts
Three more Hogwarts students have been added:
- Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan
- Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil
- Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown
These additions round out Harry Potter’s classmates in Gryffindor and beyond.

Bertie Carvel has been cast as Cornelius Fudge, the Minister of Magic, a role that’s prominent in the heart of the Harry Potter series.
