Fisher-Becker gained fame for his portrayal of the Fat Friar, a character featured in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, which is known as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in the U.S. This role was that of the ghost of Hufflepuff House in the initial movie installment of the widely-acclaimed series.
Apart from that, he frequently appeared as Dorium Maldovar, a shady character dealing in black market goods, during Seasons 5 and 6 when Matt Smith portrayed the Doctor. Subsequently, he reprised this part in the audio series Doctor Who: The Chronicles of the Eleventh Doctor and Jenny, Daughter of the Doctor.
