As a dedicated fan who has followed Gwen Stefani‘s journey since her No Doubt days, I must say that witnessing her love for her family, especially her sons, never fails to warm my heart. Despite the recent cancellations and health concerns, it’s heartening to see her celebrating Zuma’s 16th birthday with such joy and nostalgia.

Gwen Stefani recently took to social media to celebrate her middle child, Zuma, on his birthday. As the spotlight has been on the singer-songwriter due to various recent events such as the cancellation of a concert, this post highlighted that she’s been cherishing family moments instead. Today, Zuma turns 16 years old.

On Instagram, the former Hollaback Girl singer posted a video montage celebrating her son Zuma’s 16th birthday. The heartwarming reel showcased various snapshots from his childhood, documenting memories of his growth over the years. “Happy Sweet Sixteen, Zuma !! We love you SO much !!” was the touching caption penned by Stefani.

In the video, Zuma was captured spending a heartwarming moment with his mother while wearing stylish black-rimmed glasses. Subsequently, he was seen relaxing with his stepfather Blake Shelton. Throughout, Zuma showcased his passion for music, strumming the guitar and singing under the night sky. The collection concluded with a more recent photo that appeared to be from his school yearbook.

Stefani has three sons – Apollo, Zuma, and Kingston – with her former husband and British musician, Gavin Rossdale. Currently, she is wedded to Blake Shelton who is 48 years old.

16-year-old Zuma unexpectedly joined his dad’s band, Bush, during their performance in New Jersey on August 21st. The audience was directed by his father, Rossdale, to sing “Happy Birthday” as the special day marked Zuma’s birthday celebration.

As the audience cheered, a cake adorned with gold balloons shaped like “16” and a cake were rolled to the center of the stage, where Zuma affectionately hugged his father. Later on, the 16-year-old put on a guitar and teamed up with Rossdale to perform their hit song “Comedown,” during Bush’s concert.

Later on, Rossdale spoke to PEOPLE about the awe-inspiring experience of celebrating Zuma’s 16th birthday with 18,000 fans serenading “Happy Birthday”. He enthused, “It was absolutely incredible”, sharing his heartfelt gratitude. According to him, the Jersey crowd transformed the evening into an indelible memory for him and his loved ones.

Regarding Stefani, she found herself in a difficult situation due to some enigmatic injuries that led to the cancellation of her August 17 concert at Hard Rock Live in Atlantic City. On her Instagram story, the Pop-Rock singer announced that, based on a recent injury and medical advice from her doctors, she would be unable to perform on that date.

She expressed her apologies and shared that they’re working on a new date for the show, hoping to do it as quickly as possible. Stefani also noted that Ticketmaster will email ticket holders once the details are finalized, emphasizing that the existing tickets will still be valid for the rescheduled concert.

It’s uncertain whether Stefani has fully healed from her enigmatic injuries, as no recent updates about her health have surfaced. However, given her participation in Zuma’s birthday celebration, fans can speculate that the lead vocalist of No Doubt and songwriter might be on a swift road to recovery and could potentially resume her upcoming concert soon.
