HAPPY GILMORE 2’s New Trailer Brings Us Back to a Happy Place (And Reveals Some Plot)

Uh oh. Somebody brought Happy back to play more golf. It was Adam Sandler. The Sandman is dusting off his Boston Bruins jersey for Happy Gilmore 2 at Netflix. And Happy Gilmore 2‘s newest teaser trailer shows that his fictional counterpart has been away from the game for a long time, too. How will this legendary big swinger compete with a new generation of players who can also hit the ball very far? By finding a new “happy place” to find some peace.

Benito “Bad Bunny” Antonio Martínez Ocasio will be his grumpy caddy in the sequel.

We also know original stars Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, and Ben Stiller are also returning in Happy Gilmore 2. As is original Happy Gilmore co-writer Tim Herlihy who penned the script, directed by newcomers Kyle Newacheck (Murder Mystery).

Other additions to the series include Blake Clark, Sadie and Sunny Sandler, and Travis Kelce. The Happy Gilmore sequel movie will also feature a whole bunch of real professional golfers. John Daly, Paige Spiranac, Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Justin Thomas, and Will Zalatoris will all make cameos in the film.

With all of that competition, it’s going to be hard for Happy Gilmore to find his “happy place.” But fans who love the original film know exactly how and when they’ll find theirs. Happy Gilmore 2 tees off at Netflix on July 25, 2025.
