Hannah Waddingham commended Prince William for his work in the global environmental competition, the Earthshot Prize. On December 16th, the actress from Ted Lasso shared her experiences collaborating with Prince Charles to produce the documentary, The Earthshot Report.

In a post on Instagram shared by Parade, it’s stated that he is “truly exhilarating” and possesses an admirable elegance, as expressed during the event. The competition was initiated by the Prince back in 2020, while Waddingham had the honor of hosting the Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony in Singapore in the year 2023.

The actress recounted expressing to Prince William, “You truly stand out, Sir, as you’ve established Earthshot and aren’t just its spokesperson,” reflecting her and Sterling K. Brown’s admiration for his dedication.

It was clear as day that he’s the core and truly cares for them,” the Emmy-winning actress noted. She went on to describe how the Prince looks after the finalists, supports them, and provides them with whatever they require.

Waddingham likewise recognized the Prince’s fervor for environmental conservation. “It was a source of great pride for me to attend and serve as a symbolic leader for his cause,” she further stated.

Since 2023, I’ve been deeply involved in this inspiring initiative, regularly gracing its events with my presence. In June, I had the privilege of reconnecting with the Prince of Wales at the debut of the Earthshot Prize Innovation Camp held in London. During that event, I even moderated a discussion he was participating in. This upcoming documentary we’re working on will shine a spotlight on groundbreaking environmental solutions, taking us on a global journey to uncover the stories of other pioneering eco-innovators.

In November, William journeyed to Cape Town to attend the fourth round of the Earthshot Prize Awards. At this event, the fifteen finalists of the competition were revealed, and actresses Heidi Klum, Nina Dobrev, and Winnie Harlow made unique appearances. During his red carpet debut, he was present.
