Hades 2 1.0 release date announced for PC, Switch, and Switch 2

As an eager fan, I’m thrilled to share that Supergiant Games has announced the official release of Hades 2! Mark your calendars for September 26, 2025, as this highly anticipated game will be available for PC, Nintendo Switch, and even the recently unveiled Switch 2. Since its Early Access launch in May 2024, we’ve seen numerous significant updates and overhauls, all carefully crafted to enhance our gaming experience based on player feedback. The countdown begins!

Following approximately 1.5 years in an Early Access phase, the developer is preparing to add the finishing touches to Hades 2, ensuring it’s fully complete in every aspect. Despite this, the studio plans to continue providing support after the game’s launch.

In the sequel, Hades 2, you’ll find a fresh narrative, new stages, and revamped game mechanics. Despite being larger than its predecessor, it retains many of the original game’s fundamental elements.

Supergiant Games announced that Hades II marks their first sequel, with over four-and-a-half years of dedicated work. Starting from May 2024, they’ve been developing it in Early Access, gathering player feedback to ensure the game reaches its full potential. This project is their largest yet, and they aim for it to be a fitting successor to the original.

To our Early Access players, a heartfelt thanks for your continuous inspiration and backing! For those yet to join us, we appreciate your understanding. Excitingly, we’ll be revealing the complete game to you all towards the end of this month!
