‘Had To Evacuate:’ Don Cheadle Shares How He And His Loved Ones Were Affected By L.A. Wildfires

The wildfires sweeping through Los Angeles have inflicted significant damage upon its inhabitants, leaving both physical and emotional scars on numerous residents within the affected zones. Unfortunately, even renowned actor Don Cheadle has not been spared from these devastating events.

On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, airing on January 20th (Monday), the seasoned actor discussed this matter. He disclosed that due to a nearby fire, he and his family were required to leave their residence.

The actor shared that his home was near the fire site, roughly a 5-6 block distance! The talk show host commented that it was indeed quite “nearby.” It’s been said that the Marvel star hasn’t returned to his house yet. On the day of the talk show, he only visited his residence to ensure everything was okay, stating that he went back there just to “check that all was well.

Cheadle shared with the host that they now have power, indicating that they had been displaced from their home and moved from hotel to hotel before eventually being evacuated from one hotel as well.

Afterward, Cheadle mentioned that he and his family relocated to a different hotel. They were questioned about their length of stay since the place was crowded. He disclosed that they were instructed to vacate, following which they departed.

Regarding his present residence, the actor shared that he’s been crashing at a friend’s place, graciously accommodated in their kids’ room. He mentioned casually, “It’s quite pleasant waking up to a Billie Eilish poster every morning.

According to recent updates, several well-known personalities, including Paris Hilton, Anthony Hopkins, Adam Sandler, Leighton Meester, and Adam Brody, among others, have been impacted by this unfortunate event.
