33-year-old Gypsy-Rose Blanchard held her baby shower on November 16, 2022 at LARC’s Acadian Village in Lafayette, Louisiana, as a way to celebrate her upcoming motherhood. Alongside her boyfriend Ken Urker, they welcomed approximately 25 family members and friends to join them in the celebration. During this joyful event, Blanchard also shared the name she has chosen for her soon-to-be born daughter.
As reported by People magazine, the parents-to-be have chosen Aurora Raina Urker as their baby girl’s name. Blanchard was overjoyed and expressed her gratitude, feeling that her daughter would be surrounded by a lot of love and support. Blanchard’s sister, Mia Abbey, and stepmother, Kristy Morales, were among those who attended the shower.
She told the outlet, “Ken and I were thrilled to organize a stunning event for our daughter Aurora Raina Urker, an occasion she can reflect upon later and see how our community showered her with affection. We aim to provide her with the love and joy every child deserves.
The celebrations took place at LARC’s Acadian Village, where all the decorations and the florals incorporated a pink-and-white theme centered around the baby all of which were sourced from Blown Away by Kayla, together with a stroller and baby clothes. The pregnant Blanchard, of course, was wearing a pink dress with roses that completed the look.
At the baby shower, Chef Rusty from Rusty’s Seasoning oversaw the catering. Meanwhile, Dipped by Ryder provided delightful treats such as cake pops, pink and white pretzels, and designer cookies imprinted with a picture of Blanchard’s 4D ultrasound, courtesy of Sugar Mama.
Lately, after various discussions about the fatherhood of her child due to legal issues, Blanchard clarified the situation by posting DNA test results online that confirmed Urker as the father. She used Instagram to announce the findings, stating, “There’s been a lot of speculation about who our baby’s father is, and even though we’ve known all along, I think it’s high time to dispel all these rumors. Here are the test results showing Ken as the father. Ken is going to make an amazing dad, and we are thrilled to welcome our baby girl into our world.
In pondering her motherhood experiences, Blanchard once expressed that she didn’t wish for her daughter to experience the same struggles she faced as a child. Now, Gypsy-Rose Blanchard and Urker, who rekindled their relationship earlier this year, are focusing on planning both parenting and wedding matters for the future. Additionally, Blanchard is currently filming for the new season of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up.
