Nacon and Spiders have just launched a major update – version 0.3 – for Greedfall 2: The Dying World, the largest patch since the RPG first became available in early access over a year ago. This update introduces a brand new region, Peren, and a new character who joins you on your journey, Till.
When we arrived in Peren, the city was ruled by a group of merchants, though it had once been the capital of the Astrian civilisation. Despite the widespread sickness caused by the Malichor epidemic, political scheming and power struggles continued as usual.
Greedfall 2: The Dying World 0.3 Update
The latest update for Greedfall 2: The Dying World introduces a surprising ally: Till, the former captain of the Coin Guard mercenary group. After leaving his post, he now offers his assistance to the player as he tries to make amends for his past actions.
Wearing thick armor and fighting with a large two-handed sword, he’s skilled at attracting enemy fire, protecting his allies in the process.
The 0.3 update for Greedfall 2: The Dying World overhauls its combat system, letting players choose from three different combat styles that can be changed whenever they want during the game.
Tactical mode gives you complete control over the battlefield and camera, letting you carefully manage what your companions do and fully utilize the tactical pause feature. In contrast, Focused mode emphasizes using your character’s skills effectively, with the AI taking charge of directing your allies during fights.
Hybrid mode tries to strike a balance, letting players partially control the camera and pause for tactical decisions.
The game offers three difficulty settings to suit different players: experienced strategists, those focused on the narrative, and anyone looking for a light challenge.
The 0.3 update for Greedfall 2: The Dying World adds new side quests, events, and crafting skills, plus it improves the character creation process.
I just checked out the new 0.3 update patch notes for Greedfall 2: The Dying World, and there are a lot of changes! Honestly, I’m hoping this update really helps improve the game – we’ll have to see if it makes a big enough difference.
