ITV has introduced a fresh reality series that merges intense gameplay with the everyday routines of family homes. This 12-episode show will have renowned host, Graham Norton, guiding the competition as genuine families vie for a substantial financial reward.
Unlike typical reality shows set in distant locales or lavish mansions, The Neighbourhood plays out in the contestants’ personal dwellings. The participants reside together around the clock as they participate in public contests that evaluate their tactics and social interactions. But, this isn’t an ordinary competition—the objective is to eliminate neighbors while simultaneously preserving favor within the community.
ITV declared that the obstacles they encounter in public will reshape the interactions within private settings. To emerge victorious, they must outdo their nearby competitors while maintaining popularity among the general public.
As reported by Radio Times, Norton shared his enthusiasm for the show, saying, “Just like most people, I’m curious about what happens when doors are closed. When you add in some difficult tasks and a potentially life-altering reward, I can’t help but get drawn in.
In a joint effort with Lifted Entertainment and The Garden, the show delivers gripping competition and authentic home-based drama that viewers can truly connect with.
Norton expressed, “Both Lifted [Entertainment] and The Garden excel in their respective fields. Therefore, I am certain that The Neighbourhood will become the country’s preferred choice!
Katie Rawcliffe, head of ITV’s Entertainment and Daytime division, commended the program for being a captivating fusion of contest and narrative, with her highlighting the diverse array of participants as an additional source of intrigue.
Graham Norton hosts The Neighbourhood, which is set to premiere on ITV later this year.
