Gracie Adams, who worked alongside Taylor Swift on their recent release “Us”, shared insights about their relationship in a chat with The Sunday Times. Adams confessed that she’s long admired Taylor Swift’s songs and credited the multiple Grammy winner as a key influence inspiring her journey into the world of music.
Additionally, the 24-year-old artist disclosed that besides being her friend, the ‘Anti-Hero’ singer has additionally served as her mentor. Adams initially crossed paths with Swift during the preparations for her opening act on the Eras Tour.
While chatting with a news outlet about their friendship, Taylor Swift’s fellow musician remarked, “When I first met her, it seemed as though we were old friends, which might have been partly true due to the influence of parasocial relationships. After all, I’ve had Taylor’s voice in my headphones for nearly my entire life.”
Besides essential vocal tips, Adams asserted that Swift also suggested a few back stretches when she experienced discomfort following her concert appearance. The Risk singer teamed up with the Midnights crooner during the Eras Tour in April 2023. Originally, Adams’ performance was postponed, but they ultimately collaborated on stage in Cincinnati.
During an earlier interview with People Magazine, the young artist expressed that her time performing alongside Taylor Swift surpassed all her previous aspirations. At that moment, she stated, “Participating in that tour, even in a minor role, significantly altered the trajectory of my life in numerous aspects.”
