Gracie Abrams Slams Fans’ Petition to Replace Dora Jar as Her Tour’s Opening Act; Calls It ‘Wildly Uncool and Bizarre…’

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’d like to express that Gracie Abrams doesn’t shy away from speaking up about issues she finds important. In a recent instance, the talented songstress voiced her stand when some of her fans attempted to pressure her into replacing her tour opener, Dora Jar, with another artist.

Following the announcement of Dora Jar joining Abrams’ tour, a petition was initiated on Change.org, urging for a change in the artist. This petition, since removed, was launched under the name of Dexter Morgan.

The article states that the petition stated that Morgan and several other fans were puzzled by the announcement regarding the tour opener. It also mentioned that they were confused because they didn’t know the artist and, with the tour approaching quickly, it would be difficult for them to become familiar with her slower-tempo songs.

Modern suggested that for an unforgettable concert atmosphere, the opening act should establish the mood and pump up the crowd, but Dora’s slower tempo songs might not hit this target. It was then proposed that a well-known and energetic artist or band be chosen to perform as Dora’s tour opener instead.

It appeared that Abrams took issue with the petition, as evident from her comment made on January 25th, in response to Stereogum’s post, where they had shared news about the petition.

Abrams wrote, “Merely learning about this utter absurdity… it’s incredibly unhip and strange, not making any sense whatsoever.” She also mentioned that everyone’s enthusiasm was palpable, and she couldn’t be more fortunate or proud to perform alongside Dora Jar.

The artist behind “Close To You” encouraged everyone to check out the work of Dora Jar, regardless of whether they’re attending her concerts or not. In closing, she said, “Dora, for all eternity.

On the 26th of January, as I shared before, I posted a screenshot of our conversation on my Instagram stories, saying, “Hey, just reinforcing this thought and then moving on.” I was thrilled to share a stage with my tour opener and couldn’t help but express my affection by writing that I adore her.

In contrast, Dora Jar didn’t ignore the petition either. She voiced her thoughts on topic X through a few tweets, one of which humorously mentioned signing the petition alongside continuing with her rehearsals in case she gets chosen for the show opening.
