GOOSEBUMPS: THE VANISHING Trailer Introduces Us to Fresh Horror Mysteries

As a child of the ’80s and ’90s, I can’t help but feel a wave of nostalgia with each new development about Goosebumps. The first season was a delightful trip down memory lane, and now, with Goosebumps: The Vanishing, it seems like R.L. Stine is ready to take us on another thrilling adventure.

2023’s first season of the Goosebumps series on Disney+ might have slipped under your radar amidst the flood of recent releases, but for ’80s and ’90s kids, it beautifully rekindled the spirit of the cherished book series for a compelling live-action transformation. Season one focuses on the happenings surrounding the Biddle House and incorporates various elements from multiple books, including menacing cameras and Slappy the Dummy (Kanduu). The narrative follows a group of high school students in 1994 as they confront these terrors. Now, season two of Goosebumps, titled “Goosebumps: The Vanishing,” has arrived, featuring a new cast of characters who delve into fresh dark mysteries. A sneak peek at the series was unveiled at New York Comic Con 2024.

It appears that several tales are being adapted for us in this instance, such as “Monster Blood,” “The Phantom Car,” “The Girl Who Cried Wolf (or Monster),” “Camp Nightmare,” and the notorious “Stay Away from the Basement.” The first season skillfully combined multiple narratives, and it seems we can expect a similar approach here.

Here is a synopsis for Goosebumps: The Vanishing to accompany that season two trailer:

The Disappearing: A Goosebumps Story

In this current series, David Schwimmer plays the role of Anthony, the dad of the previously mentioned twins. His character seems troubled and mysterious, making me eager to unravel his background story.
