However, the title of the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time has been taken by Deadpool & Wolverine from Marvel Studios.

Referring to the title being claimed, the director of Due Date expressed his congratulations towards the pair responsible for Deadpool and Wolverine on social media.

In a recently uploaded Instagram post, Todd Phillips could be seen having all respect for Shawn Levy, who has directed the only Marvel Studios film of the year, and its co-lead, Ryan Reynolds. 

In a post published on August 17, Todd Phillips acknowledged that he plans to pay tribute to Levy and Reynolds as a sign of respect for their work on Deadpool and Wolverine.

Later on, he exclaimed, “I suspected it would be significant, but this is overwhelming.” Wrapping up his statement, Phillips extended his congratulations to everyone involved in the film production, followed by a salute symbol at the end.

Responding to Todd Phillips’ post, Shawn Levy expressed gratitude and shared his enthusiasm about Todd’s upcoming movie, “Joker: Madness Duet,” in the comment section.

I was absolutely thrilled when Todd Phillips recently posted an engaging caption alongside a snapshot of an article revealing the staggering global earnings of Deadpool and Wolverine, totalling an impressive $1.08 billion! As a die-hard fan, I simply can’t get enough of these incredible superhero movies!

He additionally posted a picture of Deadpool demonstrating his “Bye Bye Bye” dance routine, which he did on the iconic Joker Stairs, featured in the initial release of the DC series.

It’s been a while since there was activity in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following a string of films that didn’t perform as well at the box office, like The Marvels starring Brie Larson and Eternals. However, Deadpool and Wolverine have made a spectacular comeback, scoring big at the box office.

In addition to these current exciting releases from Marvel Studios, there are more fantastic titles on the horizon.
