For the 82nd time, this prestigious award show has a female comedian at its helm, ensuring she gets the job done right. From jokes about Ozempic, Diddy, Zendaya, Kate Winslet, Timothée Chalamet, and many others, nobody is off-limits for Glaser’s sharp wit.
Glaser kicked off by proclaiming the night as “Ozempic’s grandest event,” which promptly elicited a wave of laughter. She then turned her attention to celebrities scattered throughout the audience, modestly poking fun at them and their projects. Among her targets were films such as Wicked, Queer, A Complete Unknown, and others. Glaser joked about the Ariana Grande musical, admitting she wasn’t well-versed in its story due to having friends in high school.
Kicking off the awards show with a humorous tone, Glaser made witty remarks about Timothée Chalamet’s moustache resembling eyelashes and Zendaya’s performance in “Challengers” being more provocative than Diddy’s credit card. She also praised Zendaya for her exceptional acting in the film “Dune,” stating, “You were incredible! I even woke up for every one of your scenes.
Glaser persisted in teasing Sean Diddy Combs over his infamous outbursts while she went on to critique Chalamet’s performance in “A Complete Unknown”. She commented, “Man, you were fantastic as Bob Dylan in ‘A Complete Unknown’. Didn’t he blow everyone away? I mean, really, your singing voice was so spot-on that even Bob Dylan himself said it was downright terrible.
Glaser playfully remarked, gesturing towards Selena Gomez seated with her fiance, Benny Blanco, “It seems Benny Blanco got this lucky spot due to a genie’s magic granting his wish. What a fortunate man!
She concluded her speech with a reminder: “Before we announce the winners, let me gently suggest, if you don’t take home a prize tonight, remember the purpose of creating art isn’t about winning awards. It’s about establishing a tequila brand so successful that you can focus solely on it instead.
