Emma Stone typically sports shoulder-length locks, but she took everyone by surprise on the Golden Globes red carpet with her fresh Pixie hairstyle – a style we hadn’t seen from her before. Fans speculated that the change in her hair might be for her character in Yorgos Lanthimos’ film “Bugonia.
At this year’s awards event, the actress from La La Land chose a striking red dress, but it was her short hairstyle that attracted the most attention. Last October, photos emerged in New York of her working on Bugonia, and Stone was spotted wearing a snug hat to conceal her appearance.
As a lifestyle expert, I am thrilled to share that my latest recommendation is a film marking my fourth creative journey with Director Yorgos Lanthimos, following our collaborations on “The Favourite,” “Kinds of Kindness,” and most recently, the 2023 Academy Award-winning comedy-drama “Poor Things.” Each collaboration has been a unique and enriching experience that I eagerly anticipate.
At the New York Film Festival, the actress made an entrance with her fiery red locks. A video shared by X (previously on Twitter) revealed her subtly readjusting the wig at its peak, a detail highlighted by InStyle magazine.
At the gathering, Stone opted for a laid-back black and white outfit and a wig in a slightly deeper copper tone than her regular red one. To finish off, she accessorized with a long necklace and applied dark lipstick.
In a conversation with People magazine previously, Joe Alwyn (co-star from “Kinds of Kindness”) shared that Taylor Swift (Cruella actress) had decided to cut her long hair and entrusted Joe to perform the task.
In a casual manner, Alwyn remarked, “She can be relied upon too. By the way, all I did was trim her ponytail, but she’s still trustworthy!”
On a lighter note, Mamoudou Athie, another actor in the film, chimed in, “She’s quite hilarious,” he said. “Sure, you might think that based on her movies, but there’s more to it than just that,” he joked.
Ever since I’ve been deeply engrossed in the world of Bugonia, my beloved actress, who took home an Oscar, has been keeping a low key. But oh boy, did she make her grand return at this year’s Globes! It was like a breath of fresh air, seeing her grace the red carpet once more since she started working on that marvelous movie.
Despite being just an attendee this time, the actress had previously triumphed at the 2020 Golden Globes for her part in Poor Things. She had also clinched the award in 2017 for her role in the musical drama La La Land, where she starred alongside Ryan Gosling. In addition to this victory, she has been recognized with six other nominations throughout her career.
Bugonia is slated to release on November 7.
