Godzilla Comic Gets RARE Art Adams Cover

Godzilla is coming back in a big way to the world of comics, and fans have something exciting to anticipate! IDW Publishing has announced a fresh take on Godzilla, penned by Tim Seeley with illustrations by Nikola Čižmešija. The initial issue is set to arrive at comic book stores shortly, and the excitement is building due to a unique alternate cover created by renowned artist Art Adams.

The unveiling of the cover is directly from IDW. Art Adams, known for his previous work on Godzilla, has designed what’s referred to as the “C cover” for issue #1. Additionally, there’s a less common full-art version of the same cover. Comic shops that order 150 copies of the first issue will be the lucky ones to receive one of these rare full-art variants.

Jake Williams, an editor at IDW, expressed their excitement about having Adams participate in the project. In his words, “It wouldn’t be a reboot of Godzilla without a variant cover by one of the legends who’s illustrated the Monster King. We can hardly contain our enthusiasm as we welcome Art Adams on board to kick off the Kai-Sei Era. His cover masterfully blends his signature Godzilla style with our fresh Kai-Sei design.

In a fresh turn of events, this new comic initiates an interconnected universe within IDW, much like the Monsterverse from Legendary Productions. Similar to the upcoming films such as “Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire” and “Godzilla vs. Kong: Supernova”, along with the streaming series “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters”, IDW aims to expand a more extensive Godzilla-centric universe in their comic books.
