As a connoisseur of all things cinema, I had the pleasure of witnessing Romero shine in a string of unforgettable films such as Pilya, Despachadora, and Dalagang Ilocana. Her captivating portrayals in these roles were recognized with the highly esteemed FAMAS Best Actress award.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of enchanting spectators with memorable roles in films like “Bilangin Ang Bituin Sa Langit,” where I shared the screen with the legendary Nora Aunor, as well as “Tanging Yaman,” “Magnifico,” and “Rainbow Sunset.

Beyond her thriving film work, Romero also left a lasting impression on television. She brought unforgettable characters to life in popular series like Palibhasa Lalake, where she starred as Minerva Chavez, and Familia Zaragoza, where she appeared as Doña Amparo.

In her last TV appearance, she played Lola Goreng in “Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko.” Over the course of her acting career, Romero starred in more than 250 movies and TV series, solidifying her status as the Matriarch of Philippine Cinema.
