Glenn Close Reveals ‘Helpful’ Advice She Got From Robin Williams Ahead Of Her Debut On SNL: READ

It seems that Glenn Close continues to hold dear the remarkable counsel she once received from Robin Williams, a legendary actor who sadly passed away. In fact, she recently recounted the guidance he offered her before making her debut on Saturday Night Live.

During a conversation at the 12th Annual Bring Change to Mind Revels & Revelations Gala with People magazine, the seasoned actress disclosed that she sought guidance from her friend, Ben Stiller (known for his role in Night At The Museum).

I remember asking Williams if he had any suggestions for the late-night comedy sketch show. To this, he responded, ‘Just make sure you don’t do anything that isn’t funny to you, since you get many wonderful ideas.’

1) In an interview with a magazine, the actress from “The Wilde Wedding” disclosed that she found the advice “useful.”

2) For those unaware, in 1989, the actress from “The Wilde Wedding” made her debut as the host of Saturday Night Live for the first time. On that particular episode, The Gypsy Kings were showcased as the musical guest, according to reports.

In 1992’s Christmas episode, she came back to host the late-night comedy series, where The Black Crowes served as the musical guests.

Regarding her first appearance on SNL, Close commented to the press, “It was a blast!” She mentioned that this episode aired approximately when her film, Fatal Attraction (co-starring Michael Douglas, Anne Archer, Eileen Hamilton Latzen, and others), was released.

Reminded Alex to rehearse a scene featuring her character from the mentioned film, Alex Forrest, in a therapy session setting, where she carries a knife and a handbag. It was quite enjoyable.
