Glen Powell Says He Got Help of Patrick Schwarzenegger to Get ‘Full Blessing’ From Arnold Schwarzenegger For Running Man Remake

Glen Powell is ready for an action-packed role, taking center stage in Edgar Wright’s reimagining of The Running Man. Notably, this film is a modern update of the 1987 blockbuster featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger in the main character.

As the leading man of Twisters donned the mantle of a legendary figure, he sought blessings from a dear friend – Patrick Schwarzenegger, son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who gained prominence in The White Lotus series.

In conversation with PEOPLE magazine, Glen Powell shared, “I consider Patrick Schwarzenegger a close friend, so I reached out to him and asked if I could discuss things with Arnold.

In this action, the actor from “Anyone but You” made it clear to all involved in the 2025 film adaptation of Stephen King’s 1982 novel, that he was in agreement with everyone else regarding the project.

At CinemaCon’s latest event, Powell and Edgar Wright unveiled their upcoming project, scheduled for release on November 7 of this year.

This time, the narrative focuses on a TV reality game, where participants strive to outpace assassins. Introduced is a character named Ben Richards, who enters the competition in an attempt to gather funds for his ailing daughter.

Additionally, the reboot will feature stars such as Josh Brolin, Colman Domingo, William H. Macy, Lee Pace, Emilia Jones, Michael Cera, Daniel Ezra, and Jayme Lawson.
