Netflix has just purchased the rights to the highly-anticipated legal drama titled “Monsanto.” This film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, featuring Glen Powell, Anthony Mackie, and Laura Dern among others.

In this movie, we follow the narrative of a budding attorney named Brent Wisner, portrayed by the talented actor from Top Gun: Maverick. His character is depicted as representing Dewayne “Lee” Johnson in a lawsuit against the massive U.S. corporation, Monsanto.

For people who find the tale captivating, it’s Anthony Mackie who plays the character Lee. As the narrative progresses, it becomes clear that Johnson is depicted as using the popular herbicide Roundup, a weed and grass pesticide, while working as a high school groundskeeper.

According to this publication, the director also noted his intention to create a “smart, thoughtful, and commercially viable legal drama that immerses the audience in a human journey.
