GLADIATOR II Invited Us to the COLAsseum and We WERE Entertained

As a seasoned movie buff and Gladiator enthusiast who has spent countless hours rewatching the original epic and imagining what could have been for its sequel, I can confidently say that the COLAsseum event was nothing short of extraordinary! The immersive activation brought the grandeur and energy of ancient Rome to modern-day New York City in a way that only Pepsi and Regal could manage.

At its core, the movie Gladiator is a bit over-the-top, but those who appreciate it most recognize this as a fundamental truth. Therefore, it seemed fitting to honor Gladiator II in the grandeur of the Colosseum – not the one from the film where they filled the gladiators with Pepsi, of course! But rather, an extraordinary event put together by Pepsi and Regal, transforming Regal Times Square into a vibrant celebration for Gladiator II. This spectacular Colosseum truly embodied the essence of Gladiator, radiating the lavish energy one might expect from a Roman emperor. The Pepsi was freely available in every direction, and there were poets, shields, and plenty of golden wreaths to go around. That’s my idea of a memorable party!

It’s clear that the film Gladiator II ignited an intense enthusiasm within us. Among its many captivating aspects, one standout moment was a rap contest intertwined with a dance-off, which occurred as audiences eagerly anticipated the movie. Remarkably, a contemporary poet spontaneously composed a poem using intricate vocabulary during this event, making it a truly memorable spectacle.

Absolutely, one of the best moments from that night was undeniably experiencing Gladiator II at the Regal Times Square’s massive 4DX auditorium, known as the world’s largest with an impressive 296 seats – more than twice the usual for 4DX theaters. From where I stood, it was a legendary way to watch Gladiator II. The movie seemed tailor-made to immerse us right in the heart of the action, and I must admit, it didn’t disappoint.

Oh dear, the Colosseum hosted a special event for Gladiator II last night. We believe that Pepsi and Regal ought to think about turning it into a long-term display instead. Without a doubt, we were thoroughly captivated by the spectacle.
