Girls und Panzer is an anime known for its unique concept: high school girls competing in tank battles using World War 2 vehicles, which has become a popular national hobby within the show’s universe. This makes it a natural fit with the game World of Tanks, and now, the team from Saunders University High School is joining the game as part of a new collaboration.
Saunders dominates matches by fielding a huge number of tanks, inspired by the powerful armored forces of the United States in World War II. They combine strong teamwork with sheer numbers to overwhelm their opponents.
From October 20th to 27th, 2025, World of Tanks players can unlock characters from the Girls und Panzer series. This includes Kei, the captain of Saunders’ team, and her entire crew. The character is voiced by Ayako Kawasumi, who originally voiced her in the Japanese version.
Saunders is adding its famous Sherman Firefly tank to the game, and it features unique artwork inspired by anime.
Throughout the event, players will collect tokens they can use to unlock new content featuring Saunders, plus items from past Girls und Panzer collaborations with teams like St. Gloriana, Kuromorimine, Jatkosota HS, and Oarai.
