‘Girls Band Cry’ Compilation Films Set October and November Release Dates

Following the premiere of “Girls Band Cry” in English in August 2024, fans can look forward to two thrilling compilation films. The first film, titled “Seishun Kyoso Kyoku“, is slated for release in Japan on October 3, 2025. Shortly after, the second film, “Naa, Mirai.“, will be screened in theaters on November 11, 2025.

This anime is helmed by director Kazuo Sakai, renowned for his work on “Love Live! Sunshine!!”, and scriptwriter Jukki Hanada. The character designs are courtesy of Nari Teshima, with Mari Kondo and Jae Hoon Jung taking care of the CGI aspects. Kenji Tamai lends his musical talents to this production, which hails from Toei Animation.

The narrative unfolds around three young women who carry heavy burdens from their past. One of them, having dropped out of high school during her sophomore year, is currently employed in Tokyo while striving for a chance at higher education. Another finds herself grappling with the deceit of her confidants and is left uncertain about her future path. The third young lady has been deserted by her parents, making ends meet through temporary jobs within the city.

Amidst a world continually falling short of their expectations, they cling tightly to a single conviction – a quest for something meaningful to grasp. This odyssey propels them towards music, serving as an outlet to voice their aspirations and ideals amidst the unforgiving circumstances they encounter.
