Gina Carano’s Back, and She’s Now Set Her Mark on ‘Star Wars’ Legend Mark Hamill for a Trump Joke… And She’s Not Biased, Right?

As a long-time fan of Star Wars, I find it rather disheartening to witness the ongoing saga between Gina Carano and the legendary Mark Hamill. It seems like every time I turn around, there she is, stirring up trouble where none is needed.

It’s none other than Gina Carano, the actress known for meddling in others’ affairs, who has resurfaced again. This time, she’s standing up against satire while insisting that she’s not a right-wing bigot but rather an unbiased individual being unfairly targeted by Disney due to her differences with their corporate policies. However…

On this occasion, it appears that Gina Carano has taken issue with Mark Hamill once more. Interestingly, if you search online, you’ll find that Mark Hamill has never engaged with or publicly commented on Gina Carano. Even in response to a recent joke aimed at him by Carano, Hamill remained silent. However, it seems that Carano has criticized Hamill in the past, largely due to political differences.

In a long post on Twitter, Gina Carano countered Mark Hamill’s joke about Trump during prayer, stating that his comment wasn’t relevant or appropriate. Despite the context, Carano found a way once again to turn the conversation towards herself, although the topic at hand was not about her personally.

Previously, in a rather long Twitter post dated July, we tracked down a message where Carano criticized Mark Hamill over his Trump-related humor. Here’s her tweet:

It’s called praying Mark. Trump was closing his eyes in prayer. The man was just shot a few days ago, almost losing his life and another man took that bullet and died protecting his family.

What happened to all that talk about not spreading misinformation and disinformation?…

In case you’re unable to open it for some reason, here is the whole message:

Mark, it seems hypocritical for Trump to pray after he has been promoting misinformation. The man was recently shot and his protector died, yet there have been no consequences for his spreading false information. This raises questions about selective rules and the privilege some hold. Have you faced any job losses recently? It’s curious that you haven’t faced backlash for your past political comments and analogies. We keep a record of these incidents. It feels like the time for accountability may soon come for you. Sleep well.

To put it simply, Mark Hamill likened Donald Trump’s response after an assassination attempt to being asleep. However, he wasn’t insinuating that Trump was actually sleeping (though there are instances where Trump appears to be dozing off on camera), but rather his comment was more of a sarcastic remark. Comparisons like this are quite common and frequent in our daily conversations.

But, as it usually goes with Gina Carano, she made it about herself somehow. Neither Donald Trump nor Mark Hamill mentioned her, but she made it about herself. Which is amazing, really, as she keeps doing it all the time. And of course, Hitler had to appear there as well, but when Carano keeps talking about the horrors of the Holocaust and the horrors of Hitler’s dictatorship in such a blatantly wrong way, we cannot but remember The Princess Bride and Montoya’s reply: “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”

The situation has moved beyond politics; it’s now about integrity. Initially, Carano maintained that she wasn’t a conservative extremist and that Disney was unfairly targeting her due to her perspectives. However, as time goes by, and Carano’s statements grow increasingly frequent, it’s hard not to see that she has been dishonest all along. In reality, she is a right-wing bigot with her own objectives.

Although we may not share her views, just like Voltaire stated, we uphold her freedom to hold and voice her own opinions openly. This is her right, undoubtedly. However, it’s essential to acknowledge oneself and avoid feigning victimhood. Presenting oneself as a victim can seem rather unconvincing.
