Giant Vigorwasp location in Monster Hunter Wilds

In Monster Hunter Wilds, it’s not only about the giant beasts you chase, but there’s an abundance of Endemic and Aquatic creatures to discover as well. Interestingly, your Palico companion shows particular interest in the Endemic life, specifically a Giant Vigorwasp.

Wasps known as Vigorwasps play a crucial role within the game “Monster Hunter Wilds.” They offer immediate healing benefits to you and your allies upon interaction, and your companion Palico aids you during combat by summoning these wasps towards you whenever the situation demands it.

Where to find Giant Vigorwasp in Monster Hunter Wilds

As a gamer, during my monster-battling escapades, I’ve noticed that regular Vigorwasps are pretty common, but the elusive Giant Vigorwasps are quite rare. It’s unlikely you’ll come across one just wandering around in your quest, so here’s a tip: head to a specific location instead.

Make your way towards the Windward Plains Area 13, often referred to as The Oasis. It’s conveniently accessible via fast travel, especially if you have a Camp already established there. If you don’t have one yet, I strongly suggest setting one up; it significantly facilitates the search for the elusive Giant Vigorwasp.

In this specific area, it’s typical to find a few Vigorwasps, but their size (whether they are Giant Vigorwasps) may vary based on the weather conditions. To check the current weather and locate any nearby monsters, simply click the map, hit the Environment Overview button, and it will display the region’s creatures, along with the time of day and weather details.

The optimal setting to locate Giant Vigorwasps is primarily during the daylight hours, with no significant distinction between morning, afternoon, or evening. However, they are rarely found at night.

If the surroundings aren’t to your liking, navigate to the Pop-up Camp and opt for the ‘Rest’ selection from its menu, which is the same place where you prepare meals. Once there, pick ‘Plenty’, then decide on the preferred time and hit enter.

With your Slinger, point it towards any suspected Giant Vigorwasp in sight without actually shooting. Instead, grab your Capture Net from the lower right corner of the screen, aim it at the target, then release to catch it.

Instead of focusing on specific targeting, as I did, simply observe for any Vigorwasp hovering near the Oasis. If the surroundings are suitable, it’s possible that a Giant Vigorwasp will be among those you catch. Once you do, make your way back to Base Camp and have a chat with your Palico.
