Ghost of Yotei is packed with many interesting places and items to collect. One thing you’ll quickly notice is the series of Shrine Climbs scattered throughout Ezo. These climbs frequently lead you to areas beyond the usual map boundaries, and you might even discover optional altars, quests, and other extras there. Successfully completing each Shrine Climb will reward you with a new Charm.
This guide details the locations of all Shrine Climb challenges in Ghost of Yotei. Keep in mind that if you’re aiming for the Body, Mind, and Spirit trophy, you’ll also need to locate every Fox Den and Kitsune Shrine.
Yotei Grasslands Shrine Climbs
There are three Shrine Climbs to find in the Yotei Grasslands.
Fall’s Rest Shrine
Found in the Southeast corner of Yotei Grasslands.
Blooming Ridge Shrine
As a longtime fan, I’ve always pictured this area vividly. It’s located in the Northeast corner of the Yotei Grasslands, right on the way to the Tokachi Range, just before you hit the infamous Serpent’s Pass. It’s a really iconic spot, and I can almost see it in my mind’s eye – a beautiful, wild place! You can find more info about the Tokachi Range if you’re interested.
Mount Yotei Shrine
Head Northwest from Yotei Grasslands, and West of Master Heijiro’s Garden. Doing so will let you climb Mount Yotei, unlocking access to a new altar and pillar.
Tokachi Range Shrine Climbs
You can find another three Shrine Climbs in Tokachi Range.
Amber Respite Shrine
Located in the northwestern part of the Tokachi Range, this is also the area where the A Flower For Your Thoughtsquest can be found.
Risen Fog Shrine
Just beyond the Central Ferry at the Northernmost point of Tokachi Range.
Faithful Leap Shrine
Far East of Tokachi Range, East of Arata’s Pond.
Ishikari Plain Shrine Climbs
Two Shrine Climbs to find in Ishikari Plain.
Winding Tears Shrine
East of Ishikari Plain, at the end of the river alongside Nakagoya Spring.
Sun’s Peak Shrine
In the Southwest corner of Ishikari Plain.
Nayoro Wilds Shrine Climbs
There’s just one Shrine Climb in Nayoro Wilds.
Patient Frost Shrine
In the Iwor Mountains, East of Ikidomari Grove.
Teshio Ridge Shrine Climbs
Two more Shrine Climbs are in Teshio Ridge.
Enduring Hold Shrine
In the Hakodake Mountains you can find the entrance East of the Deserted Village.
Chilled Peak Shrine
To the Northwest, North of Sakahima Sake House. Gives access to a Mountain Reliquary puzzle.
Oshima Coast Shrine Climbs
The game’s final Shrine Climb can be found in Oshima Coast.
Budding Grace Shrine
In the Southeast corner of Oshima Coast, South of Kasuga Village and Joyo Tea House.
